Session 9: The Rope that Entangles Report

General Summary

A short but intense battle begins as Jacqueline attempts to escape the party. Both Grahk and Thomm laid out unconscious, she finds a path and rushes past the party and upstairs. Disguising herself as Hammond she exits the library, attacking Brother Harvey on the way out before teleporting once outside the castle’s walls. Once again beaten and battered the party rests until Grahk and Thomm regain consciousness and head up and out of the library. On the way out they gather Jacqueline's possessions that she left behind, taking scratchings of letters from a note pad. The scratching revealed many things: Talk of a Priest of the Great Devourer, Galador's potential location, a list of cities and the location of a secondary Galador lab. Questions were answered but this lead to many, many more, What thread do the party follow, do they look into the Priest, pursue Galador in an attempt to stop him directly, go to his secondary lab investigate the altered maps or head to one of the cities mentioned (possibly targets) to attempt to stop another outbreak of plague. The session ends after the party rests in the restoration rooms talking to Brother Harvey when the ground shakes and dust and stones fall from the ceiling. Brother Harvey draws his great Maul and rushes out clutching his holy symbol, leaving the party to decide what to do in this moment.
