008: All in the Family Report

General Summary

The Crew decided to investigate some of their personal mysteries.   While at Salty's Saloon Martino took a blood sample from Artemis Foxx and then ran it through a DNA database. Kei Sakamoto excused herself from the tests, stating she could not stand the sight of blood. The database returned 27 possible paternal matches around the world. Shocked by the large number Artemis decided to send a connection request to all 27 and see who would reply.   The Crew then accompanied Kei on her search for her sister. She had found a bracelet of her sister's, Jae Sakamoto, in a subway station. Martino ran science tests trying to see if there was any trace evidence and discerned there was a high level of necrotic energy in the station. While she discussed this with Kei.   Artemis interacted with a group of revelers and took a drink of something they were drinking. Suddenly she pushed a homeless man, Josie the Vagrant, off the platform and onto the tracks. Kei and Martino acted quickly, perhaps too quickly as Kei used her preternatural speed, to get the man off the tracks. A few onlookers may have filmed this occurance. Kei then used her badge to fake arresting Artemis and drug her back to the Armored Ice Cream Truck.   In the mean time Martino and Rosabelle investigated the necrotic power on the platform. Martino asked Rosabelle to touch the spot with the strongest ammount of energy and she saw a vision of the night including Jae's interaction with Josie. She was trying to get closer to the vision when she was surrounded by a group of apparitions which frightned the hatchling and caused her to flee, in dragon form.   The hatchling crashed out of the station and onto the streets of the city with the crew in pursuit. They boarded the I.C.T. and followed her, noting a thick fog forming up from the streets as she went. It was unclear if this was steam from the rain and her wings were generating some form of heat, or if another force was at work. But the fog seemed to follow her as if trying to obscure her. The Crew managed to calm her using the I.C.T.'s PA system. They then collected her and departed the area.
