Session 55: The Mountain Fog Clears Report

General Summary

Etimi and his Yeti

As the party were approached by a huge, exhausted yeti, it addressed them, first in broken common and then to Rukk in giant.    It explained the problems within his own yeti tribe and their society. Theirs was the tribe based closest to Algarath, the place where Scodorm fell in battle with the other giants, an area deemed sacred to Yeti and cursed to Giants.   He explained that the giants had banished the yeti for Scodorm's desire to interact with the rest of the world. The majority of the remaining giants had vetoed it and combat had followed.   He escorted them through cave tunnels with ease, leading them out of Vorsygnar's territory and into Yeti lands.   The party explained that they would require a rest and Etimi agreed to meet them no more than a day later on a hill with a large eagle-like rock above it.

The Annorlunda's Plan

The party therefore returned to Herin where they were able to find

He was slightly drunk by this point but still sober enough to talk to them.   He explained that he and some, if not all, of the Annorlunda had formed the view that the Ancestors were only stymieing the growth and prosperity of Priom Crana. Their immutability was selfish and indeed dangerous for the world at large.   He said that, Scodorm was almost certainly evil but worth hearing out as he had been one of the first to propose departure from Priom Crana among giants and had been cast down for it.   He asked if they, as powerful individuals in their own right, would be prepared to assist in dealing with the ancestors. The party agreed potentially and he set about making the appropriate preparations.   The other warning was that, were they to silence the ancestors, Vorsygnar would likely be freed from his ties to them, and this could lead him into conflict with the giants, but this may be a price worth paying.

Sending Scodorm back to sleep

This in hand, the party stayed the night in Herin before returning to where they had agreed to meet with Etimi the previous day.   Finding him with consummate ease, he led them to his home in Algarath, a village filled with yeti, outside the mouth of a narrow cave. The place where Scodorm resided.   They entered and shortly after, a fight ensued with the great beast Scodorm who was held in place by 7 purple crystals. The fight was gruelling however, eventually the party were able to destroy the crystals and send Scodorm back from whence he came.
