The party along with everyone in the camp made preparations for the inevitable assault.
They placed barricades, melted down silver and prepared their weapons.
They allocated their assets around the upper courtyard, the melee combatants by the gate and the ranged ones gathered on the walls.
Harry Bucketlump was assigned to watch the back gate.
They also saw Zartagar apparently speaking to a large raven which flew off away in the direction of the Inn of the Sweet Lettuce. He explained that help would hopefully be on its way.
As they were making their final preparations, they heard a howl as the Lychanthropes approached.
The First Assault
Jackalweres threw themselves at the walls, climbing up and trying to break through the gate. They were, however, by and large unsuccessful, blown up and away by Miadi and Tarvy, electrocuted by Vitt’s ingenuity and chopped up by the other melee warriors.
They suffered many casualties, but did manage to break through the front gate and kill Hildegund after her suicidal leap without legs.
A couple of other injuries were suffered, but there were no further casualties.
Single Combat
Eventually the Jackalweres backed off and a horn was heard outside the entrance.
Asking most people to stay where they were, the party and a few of the other warriors made their way forwards.
The Lycanthropes threw two prisoners out in front of their lines, stating that they demanded single combat or else the prisoners would be executed.
Thrack volunteered, going outside the camp with Tarvy.
Thrack fought Breanyx and, after a close dual appeared to get the better of him, however, despite landing a vicious blow to his head and knocking him to the ground, he got back up.
He said they could take the prisoners as he retreated back into Lycanthrope lines, giving instructions to his men. .
It was at this moment that Tarvy cast Shatter on his head
