Session 81: The Redcap Fey Creatures

General Summary

The companions of Shining Eclipse an adventure group who belongs to Acquisitions Incorporated Franchise K left the rest area a half days travel from the city of Rivendell on the morning of the 9th of Diana heading west to the Lake Kriton where they are to meet the Silver Current a river boat that Shining Eclipse had hired when they left the village of Mesopotamia. Shining Eclipse has been hired by House Sylvaris a well respected merchant family from the Socrates Forest. Traveling with the group is the guild known as the Ember Consortium who are bringing back the prisoners that were captured by members of the Order of the Phoenix. The convoy included the Following:

• 2 Large Enclosed Wagons – Carrying silks, enchanted fabrics, and delicate goods requiring protection from the elements.
• 2 Medium Open Wagons – Transporting barrels and crates of rare spell components and perfumes.
• 1 Supply Wagon – Carrying food, water, and provisions for the caravan crew and guards.
• 1 Armored Wagon – Reinforced with protective wards and locking mechanisms, likely carrying the most valuable or magical items.
• 2 Prison wagons belonging to the Ember Consortium

The companions traveled for four days with out any incidents. reaching the eastern end of Lake Kriton on the 13th of Diana, where crew and passengers of the Silver Current had set up a camp at the rest area on the beach of the lake. Two campfires had been established. They were met by Captain: Kallias "Ironwave" Marinos who welcomed them back from there 10-day +1 day trip to the city of Rivendell and back. The captain told the members of Shining Eclipse that his cook Mira Thornberry had prepared a fresh venison stew, fresh biscuits , and fruit tarts. The captain also asked for the members to help with the watch for tonight as it was going to take most of the night to load the wagons from the shore to the boat using large wood ramps and it would take most of his crew to assist in this task. Arceven told the captain that would be fine and began setting up watch's of the night. The companions grabbed some dinner from Mira and set them selves up for the night. Dame SunWhisper chose to stay on the Silver current for she was exhausted from the 8 hours of travel. She was not used to this. On the third watch three gnome sized creatures known as Red caps who are nasty creatures who relies on the fresh blood of victims to keep alive. These fey creatures have no respect for any one and will attack to get the needed fresh blood. The leader of the trio by the name of Timbo thought that this was just going to be an easy kill not realizing just who he was facing. The trio had been wondering through the Socrates Forest for years and never have been stopped. Well on this evening they ran into unexpected trained party who knew how to carry themselves well in battle. The Trio did manage todo some damage to the party but they were eventually killed. The passengers who had decided to camp on the beaches of the Lake Kriton witnessed this spectacle with mixed emotions.

Once aboard the Silver Current the party traveled on lake Kriton one day entering the Socrates River on the western banks. They they traveled on the Socrates River for three days where they came upon the spot of the forest where the river pirates had raided a village killing almost all of the men of the village and capturing the women and female children to sell them into slavery. This part of the Socrates Forest over a 10-day ago was completely destroyed as most of the trees had been cut down and the area was burned leaving a horrendous scar in this beautiful forest. Now the people of the village stand on the shores of a fully healed section of the forest. New trees have all ready grown tall and strong enough for the elves to rebuild there villages in these live trees. Men, women, and children sing in unison as the Silver current rounded the bend. They were dressed in ceremonial clothes as the river boat traveled down the river. The lord of the village by the name of

Aran'thal Lorale raised his hand quoting the following in song:

• " To those who pulled us from the Shadow
• to those who brought fire and light
• Your are not merely just heros
• Your are now part of the tale now
• will you join us this night
• and those aboard the Vessel
• for a feast beneath the stars"?

The feast lasted until late evening with Zandi once again trancing and sing the healing song of Belladonna one last time. Perhaps for the last time in many moons as she will be leaving the Socrates Forest in two days when they reach the city of Babylon. It was once again another peaceful night of the ancient forest known as the Socrates Forest. Zandi's home where she was raised joined the Verdant Vanguard reaching the rank of Gatekeeper before betrayed by her husband. Thought to be dead or called a traitor for five years she was slave to Lillian Harker and the Crimson Brotherhood. Feed by the adventure group Shining Eclipse. Now chosen by Belladonna the guardian of the Socrates Forest. Promoted to the rank of Arbiter of the Grove by the King of the wood elves. Because of the connection with Belladonna Zandi will be a Dovahkiin.

16th of Diana the Silver Current leaves the Socrates Forest arriving in the city of Babylon nestled where the mighty Tigress and Socrates rivers converge, the city of Babylon thrives as a bustling trade hub and cultural melting pot. The city's strategic location ensures its prosperity, making it a vital waypoint for caravans, riverboats, and merchants traveling across the region. Babylon boasts a unique blend of architecture, reflecting its dominant Elvish culture with intricate, organic designs, seamless integration with nature, and a strong focus on art and beauty. Shining Eclipse still has five days of travel to reach the city of Soteropolis. two by river and one by foot. Babylon is just a night of respite resupply for the Silver Current . The companions will leave at first light.
