Session 70 The Wonders of the Socrates Forest.

General Summary

The companions of Shining Eclipse arrive in the early evening of the 26th of Ares in the city of Babylon. A major trade hub on the Socrates river. The city is located where the Socrates and Tigress river conjoin. This city is located between the Drowned Forest and the Socrates Forest. Both forest with its own biome and both legendary and having its own history in the Soteropolis region. The Drowned Forest was once part of the Socrates Forest and was just as lush and magical as the legendary forest. Then on the 19th of Helios 4836 AD the Black Legion empire and the Black Moon empires discovered the forest and this started the decay of this section of the forest that would become the Drowned Forest. Shurikan (The Tyrant) setting up a Lair in this part of the forest did not help either. The Socrates Forest on the other hand has been around since the beginning of time. There many myths, stories, and legends about this forest. The forest is home to the house of Elrond, Legolas, and Galadriel and many creatures, woodland animals, and the Fay.

Shining Eclipses only had the night to enjoy the city of Babylon due to a tight schedule of the precious metal of Mithril that was being delivered to the city of Rivendell home of House Elrond. Captain Marinos did not like having such precious cargo on his boat for extended time due to the River pirates that were known to travel on both the Socrates and Tigress rivers. As the party went there way visiting temples, markets, inns for the variety of foods and entertainment in the city of Babylon. While this was going on several party members were approached by the Elven City guard asking if they knew a wood elf by the name of Zandi Ottore who was seen on the river boat called the Silver Current. The elves said that she was a person of interest, but would tell anything more than that Stating that it was "Elf business". None of the members told the whereabouts of the young elf who had decided not to explore the town that she once served in as a member of the Moon Shadow Rangers. Dagon and Jasmal got the opportunity to spend time with their dragons as they showed up in their normal humanoid forms.

On the morning or the 27th of Area as the crew of the Silver Current prepared to leave at the 9th hour as ordered by captain Marinos. The companions who stayed on the boat had breakfast prepared by the boats halfling cook Mira Thornberry. Members who stayed in the inns make it back to the boat in time for departure. Three female wood elves had boarded the boat to leave hitching a ride to Socrates Forest. Several members began questioning the young elf Zandi why the House of Legolas was asking for her surrender. Zandi had no clue why they would be asking for her. She had been a slave for five years she has no idea what they would want her. Her conclusion was that it had something to do with her husband. As the conversation went on with Zandi pondering on what to do was approached by the elderly looking elf, even though she was very fit. This wise elf advised the young elf to go to the town of Thysdrus and deal with the situation. The leaf Warden had extended the contract for the party to stop at the home of House Legolas and deal with whatever questions that they were seeking. Then as the river boat got into the deep part of the river the three wood elves jumped off the back of the boat into the Socrates river to the dismay of the crew of the boat.
