Session 1: To the Borderlands Report

General Summary

The wizard Servos has recruited some adventurers to her tower to deliver and guard the alchemical notes from her research to a colleague of hers that lives in his tower over the mountains near the Keep known as Veilguard. She recruited Zerotsu the Drow Druid, Death the White Dragonborn Rogue, Glondahl Zalrous the elven fighter, Umkhonto Ithemba the Human Monk, Hunduga Revonga VIII the Red Dragonborn fighter, and Overcom Plexus the Half-Elf Wizard. They set out towards the borderlands making good time on foot. They camped in a small clearing for the evening, and after a brief fright that turned out to be a rabbit, which Death killed with his frosty breath, and made that rabbit apart of their dinner. Early in the twilight hours of the morning they heard another noise and were shocked to see rushing towards them was a bear with the head of an owl with small spears sticking out of it. They prepared for a fight but as the Owlbear rushed past them the ground beneath them gave way causing them to plummet deep into the earth.    They awoke to find themselves in a circular chamber with 5 exits; each exit sat in a hallway with the arch carved to look like a dragon's throat. They choose the most direct route going forward and entered into 40ft. x 40 ft. room with a checker pattern with black and white statues of dragons. The door behind them closed locking them into the room and they started to move the statues in an attempt to see if it would unlock the doors. They heard a click and believed they came close to opening the door but became shocked as an electric current worked its way through the floor. Overcom Plexus figured out the puzzle of the room and guided his companions to the proper placement of the statue, and unlocked the door at the other end of the room, and continued forward.    They went up to the next level and found a set of double doors with a faded intricate design of a five-headed dragon. They heard voices coming from the other side and pushed their way through to find some small reptilian dog-faced creatures harming the Owlbear. They rushed to kill the kobolds who flung spears and stones at them which were no match for their steel swords, and magic they slung at them. They killed all the Kobolds leaving only the Owlbear injured and prepared to attack the party. Zerotsu through his druidic training attempted to bond with the creature and show that they were no threat to him. It was successful and they found a hidden passage that led back to the surface, and riding on top of the Owlbear they made great time and soon made their way to the Wizard's Tower. They delivered the notes and chose their magic items.
