14 - The Fordes send their regards
General Summary
To Olidia
The group head to Olidia to chase up various leads. Kupo wanders off, but the town is too big and messy, and he doesn't really run in to anything of note, although he does foil the attempt of a local pickpocket using an illusion spell, and loses 88 gil spending a few hours gambling.
Zephyr Highwind bought a chicken named Atticus.

The group head to the Chocobo races, they find lots of exotic gysahl greens at the in house store, some of which claim to change the color of your chocobo's feathers! They buy some. Kupo then signs up to join in the races, everyone else decides taking part in things is not cool man. To the surprise of almost no one, Kupo and his well-bonded Chocobo win the race, barely defeating the second place competitor. Kupo wins a pass to the Divinus markets of Olidia for him, and his guild/group. The other party members scan the crowds, looking for oddities. They notice Cait Sith up in the stands, betting on the races.
During/before this, Lyra comes to the party with information. She has discovered the fighting ring of Atrix Forde, up in the mines to the north. The only way in is by using thieves cant with 2 separate people that can be found in the mines, each will allowed the party entrance to a secret passage leading further in to the mines, impossible to find without them. The group also notice Cid Raines in the distance, entering the Divinu markets.
Oh, to be rich
The group use Kupo's new ticket to enter the markets. They find Cid, and have a sit down with him for tea, he offered to pay. He is in town making a deal with a man named Eadwyn Tomley, who claims to have a new airship - the Azure Rose - being built at the Primus Magitek Facility. He seems to be wishing to pick up the very same route that Cid had previously offered Vexacious Rein's parents before their dissapearance. Whilst here, Vex also agrees to a date with Cid on the 13th of this month, upon an airship.
Zar'ral Helvimtor sends a letter to Yasithra about Eadwynn.
Insides out
The group head to the Joyous Goat inn for the night, Zar'ral, Vex and Zephyr eat the food offered by the owner... without checking it, first. The next morning they all have an incredible sickness bug, finding themselves poisoned, with vomiting and diarrhea. As they set out in to the city like brave little stinky soldiers, they rush to the aid of someone in a nearby alley only to fall in to a trap.
An elite Gridalian guard is there, along with an assortment of thugs and bandits. One of the thugs whispers "Thie is from the Fordes of Arnis." as he sneak attacks Kupo for critical damage. The party find out just how tough an elite guard really is, barely managing to defeat him alone, 1 v 5, as the other thugs flee once Kupo uses thundering leap to create a loud noise, alerting lots of local attention. Surprisingly, despite being stabbed in the head, the guard survives. The party use their political status to escape punishment for their actions.. The Government will remember this.
Odds and ends
The party then head to Parliament, and speak to Natali Nemetsk about events and the Windswept Castle. They learn about a possible method of entry, requiring an airship..
They then head to the Golden Saucer to speak to Cait Sith. Cait offers some assistance, but the party decides they do not trust him. Well, apart from Kupo, who knocked himself out with magical drugs as requested. The group then heads for some rest.
