From a campaign concept point of view, Aerisian has been designed, developed and mapped keeping in mind some known locations from the days of old AD&D and including some modules from UK creators that were published in White Dwarf, Imagine and Tortured Souls magazines. These magazines I have lovingly treasured since the age of 15 and have held onto through all my years of marriage(s), kids, moving from place to place and only until recently (circa late 2023) have I started to really try to make use of them. Additionally from Thieves World, based on the fictional writings of the same name, from which come some of my favourite fantasy stories. Locations have been pinpointed and landscapes adapted to try and meet the requirements that were set out in the original modules. For example, Pelinore, Zhalindor, Thieves World, Irialian, and many other villages, towns and cities all exist. While it may not be possible for a campaign to run where every module is played and every city or village is visited, the aim is for the party to choose a direction of travel, and discover new lands or re-discover memories of lands from a time forgot.
