Session 11: Adventurer's Guild Beginner Quest Report

General Summary

bought horses x 110g. 30 day of food and water for them for 200g. make it to farm. meet farmer maggot, brings inside house. mrs maggot is insulted by both za and rauk. farmer invited to lunch and directed to Corwin, who had killed a wolf recently and had info about it. group let Corwin slip outside so had to go find him at the barn. Corwin was able to provide some info about the wolves along with getting details of the best tracker in the family: his second cousin Mae. They go back to farm house and meet Thera's daughter, Mae. Rauk was able to get the info from her about the den of the "friendly badger". she was able very unsubtley able to tell them about the wolves den in the forest about 2-3 miles down  in the woods in a clearing. while this occured, za fell asleep on the couch, which rauk took advantage of to pet his tummy to hear za purr. they help get the animals into the barn. all four decide to climb to the top of the barn. all make it but za. za also tries a grappling hook and it hits him in the face. za eventually makes it on top of the barn. they wait for the wolves to show up. after 2 hours on the roof with Rauk and Thronus taking watch, 6 of the wolves show up. Za is able to determine that there is something in their stomach that is magical in origin. Also they are able to tell that something is strange with the wolves, with some sort of metallic shimmer to them. While the group is talking to each other, 6 more show up with a couple of them being the leaders of the pack, magical dire wolves. Rauk was able to determine they have drank dwementarium water and cut a deal to feed them in hopes of establishing a good relationship in which they also exchange that for establishing ownership of the area. The leader agrees with the meeting set for the morning at their den.
