Session 10: Machine among the moss Report

General Summary

The group decided to head to the forest via the mountain range, in which they encountered a small pack of two dire wolves and a winter wolf that jumped Joette but were disposed of with relative ease. A few hours into exploring the forest they encountered a baby deer caught up in a net trap hanging from a tree, with a mechanism at the top creating a rhythmic knocking. After putting the deer out of its misery, the group decided to continue pulling the trap to ensure the knocking continues in hopes of encountering the hunters who set it.    During this time, Joette caught a strong whiff of burning from the way they came. Sure enough, when she turned around she could just about make out smoke rising above the trees through a gap in the leaves. Struck with panic, she fled away from the fire after the group refused to believe her claims and ran right into a deer trap... unluckily for her, she's small and light enough for it to work. By the time Joette had hacked away at the net enough to get out the rest of the group had arrived and were still adamant that she was mistaken in seeing the fire. After going back to prove them wrong she realised she was mistaken, though she did see another danger that had replaced it. A hunting party of Grung came to claim their traps reward and slid down the trees to attack after seeing the group posted there, but were defeated in a somewhat close fight between the two groups.
