Session IX: Unrest Report
General Summary
Meeting back up at the ruins with Galgalesh, your group proceeded deeper into the forest on Brynn's instructions of a hidden treasure only to find it plundered by an Avis deserter whom attacked you on sight. During the encounter, Theiran manifested what appeared to be arcane magic into one of his fired shots, killing the man unintentionally. After your encounter with the deserter, Syllena Jadebrand, coven leader showed up once more claiming that your last encounter with the coven 'got off on the wrong foot' and that she and her sisters wanted to 'make right the wrongs of the past'. She implored that you each had untapped potential and that should you wish to explore your opportunities, you should seek out herself and her sisters in the cave to the south. Arriving at the coven's cave you saw the destruction of the past had been mostly undone and the ritual circle lay reformed around the stone altar. With some coercion and coaxing the coven was able to strike deals with the new members of the party, Birak, Bergess, Brynn, Circe, Uthemar, and finally striking a deal with Theiran. From here the party sought out the forest's entrance and found signs of a large creature trekking through the trees; that of the behir. As Uthemar scouted the cave that lay ahead, the party encountered an unfamiliar face, that of Gethalt the Spellsword whom helped them in their task of defeating the behir. With the behir now dead, and its eye claimed the party begins its journey back to Falconspire proper, stopping in Stroth (The Perch) along the way. Teylan Dannis took note of your completed bounties sealing them away and filing them for the Avis, however she did ask about the missing Avis operatives, "Any luck finding them?" Stopping at the blacksmith, many discussions were had about barrels of oil, suits of armor and weaponry but nothing of note was purchased or sold.
