Session XI: A Bound Brother Report

General Summary

Arriving in Castle Greenhill, the party splits up to find more information on Lucan, Uthemar's brother. In an act of impulse, Erias and Uthemar attempt to jailbreak Lucan with a feign death spell but are found out by the Lord Baron's court wizard Lanek Strasdow and are imprisoned. Circe and Skylar come to their aid, using their titles as the heroes of Falconspire to free Erias.   Through failed negotiations the Lord Baron tells the party that two must take their place in this act and that one may go free, leaving Erias to decide who remains imprisoned.   Theiran and Skylar depart for Castle Clifton in a desperate attempt to save their allies with only one week remaining until the Rose Festival and the subsequent execution. Over the course of their departure, the remainder of the party assists members of the keep with tasks such as building props for the play, blessing the well, setting up the rose displays and deliveries from the blacksmith to specific members of the surrounding area.   With only one day until the Rose Festival commences and still no signs of Theiran or Skylar things start to look grim for the bound brothers.   At last the Rose Festival commences and during the festivities, Erias does his best to distract and divert the guards attentions but unfortunately it isn't enough to draw notice from the play. As the play draws to a close the brothers Uthemar and Lucan are dragged onto the stage and are placed for execution.   Cole Etheridge takes his place and as all seems lost Skylar swoops in and plants upon the stage and reveals the imperial missive from Xena Dragonborn, head of Castle Clifton.
