28. The Fall of Grannoc...so Seriously, he literally FELL Report

General Summary

Grannoc took to the lightning and used it to bear him to safety up on the roof. Torgan got a few shots at him, before he liften himself into the air under the power of the stormy winds. Kanenas ran to a hole in the roof and increased his height again with Giant's Might. Others jumped out a northern window onto the roof there to get outside quickly and engage him.   The Storm Lord blew a bolt of lightning down at Kanenas and Ozus and struck them, actually bringing Kanenas to death's door. Ozus help him back to consciousness. But after a few more arrows, Torgan brought the flying orc out of the sky and to his doom. Kally and Jareth arrived at his crash site quickly to keep him alive for questioning.   The party was able to stand down a little, but not enough to drop their guard for a rest. But they did explore the rest of the manse to be sure it was clear and see if they could find any clues or treasure.   They did find a Staff, a cloak, and a pouch of dust, all magical.   They found a map that seemed to hilight a landmark 5-10 miles to the north.   And they found that the pumkins bore seeds that could heal 1 hp each, not unlike goodberries.   And then they found other Anchorites that closed and and ambushed Kally while she gathered some of those seeds.   The others joined the fray after Kally's call for help, and so many lightning bolts were flying around--explosions of fire--tolls of the dead--spikes growing, etc., all while Grannoc is left alone with Torgan and his drake, Fulmi.   The group finally beats down the attackers and sends the last one running...but not before Kanenas is toppled 2 more times. The bigger they are, I guess.   And of course, no one outruns a monk...so Jareth beats the last one to a pulp and stuffs some of his lightning-ragged clothes into is mouth before suffocating him with his fists...    ...I'll just leave you with that image...
