Sayuri the Pestilence Report

General Summary

The group travelled to Hayakawa to finally settle the score with Sayuri. They encountered her Simulacrum in the Pit arena, but she fled and unleashed the Slaughter Worm she had been cultivating upon them. Upon defeating it, the group moved to Daimyo Nariakira's ruined estate where they spent the night. The following morning Sayuri's simulacrum returned along with her Beast, and Tao-Ren's unconscious form which she used to bait the group out into the open. Revealing that Tao-Ren's form was nothing more than an illusion, the simulacrum as well as the real Sayuri attacked. After several close calls, Genji made the decision to finish Sayuri off while Benkei was out of range. With her dying words, Sayuri lamented her relationship with Agito, and self-destructed, blowing away the area they were in and putting everyone besides Vuzath on deaths door. Though Vuzath managed to find and resuscitate Mumei, Pietdidro, and Raishin, they were unable to find Genji or Benkei and the two of them passed away, leaving them wounded, stranded, and without her captured soul.
