Escape the Jukai Report

General Summary

To escape the Jukai, the Benkei summons a demon and mickjagger's it into a usable tuning fork. He begins the 24 hours process of attuning it to the material plane, but the arcane nature of the ritual attracts the attention of harmful Yokai and spirits. Benkei was eventually knocked unconscious and the ritual was compromised. After several close calls, the group defeated their attackers and began the ritual again. This time it succeeded, but as Benkei cast the Plane Shift spell, something in the arcane weave went wrong and instead of appearing in the Hall of War, to their horror, they appeared in Saiha's Palace under his bed by the Ofuda that Ayaka had jokingly placed there. They beat a hasty retreat back to Abe no Seimei where even from this distance the Yonkishi's influence on the land could be observed. Benkei saw ghostly fingers appearing through the Ofuda and at Mifune's orders and Rei's despair, destroyed the home sigil linking the other teleportation sigils. After another meeting, they shared the information they'd learned from Sutoku Tenno, discussed how to move forward and how to collect the necessary life force they would need to seal Mugen. Rei and Ayaka enchanted Benkei's cage to allow it hold multiple souls indefinitely at the cost of not being able to evoke the soul cage benefits. While they did this, Genji and Raishin somehow succeeded the resurrection ritual to revive Yuuna, and the two of them celebrated with a drink. Benkei discovered them and removed their pants, and at his urging, the still recovering Yuuna took the prank a step further by drawing penises all over their bodies and posing them in a provocative manner. The entirety of Abe no Seimei gathered to laugh at them, and in a welcome moment of levity, laughter once again filled the temple complex before the group begins their final stand.
