Session 1: A Very Good Place to Start

General Summary

Abe traveling from Oenalune to Ahrensport

  • The only other person on this trip is an middle-aged elven lady, Frietel Balarei, who’s traveling to visit her brother (Lysan Genhorn) Ahrensport
Zoran traveling from Halkilde to Ahrensport Both ships arrive to Centim Bay in Ahrensport, but their off-boarding is delayed by a man in head-to-toe khaki (Slaax Trowsire). They notice an eerie quiet, and very few other people around
  • Slaax says that before they disembark, he’s duty bound to warn them not to touch or eat any product of Centim Bay. With some probing, he’ll show them weird fish and shells, and even his lower left leg which is covered in blue fur (started out as a just a patch on his ankle where an eel slapped him, but it’s spreading more and more every day as far as he knows, Loois Switchtrick was the first one to pull up any of the freaky fish
  • With the right incentive, Loois will row them out to where he pulled up the first net and tell them about the storm that happened right before all the weird stuff
DC15 perception check to see a recess that appears to be partially underwater Notes from the dungeon:
  • Abe the bat slayer & rat whisperer (rats went splat in the chasm)
  • Successfully beat the ooze, got the Chaos Orb & key to the store room
  • Key looked like a disc with 3 claws protruding in triangle
  • In storeroom, they saw intact stone carved relief showing a six armed lady (Kir-Joath, but they don't know that yet) holding two rods in left hands and an orb in the other, last relief shows her bringing them together to form a symbol (relief of orb and rods colored in what appears to be a chalky sort of paint, orb is dark, rods are gray/white and yellow), found pendant with the same imagery
  • During fight with ooze, Zoran got turned into a potted plant for 1 turn (not permanent), got teleportation powers for 20 minutes (not permanent), grew a purple feather beard (permanent thus far), and grew 10 inches (permanent thus far)
Found Neela Emere
  • Her ship, The Endeavor, was traveling from Halkilde with a load of weaponry and armor to sell in Ahrensport, and as they began to get close, a massive storm hit. It was touch-and-go, and they tried to turn around and temporarily land in Concour, but she must’ve been hit by the boom or debris, because next thing she knows she’s woken up in the large room with a big blob trying to suck her in -- luckily she was able to crawl into this recess and shut the door, but she didn’t know if she was going to be able to get out without her weapons
  • If asked, potential thread for party to try to find her ship and reclaim the weaponry that was aboard before it gets into the wrong hands (traveling from Halkilde with weaponry and armor)
Conclusion: Left the tunnel with loot + Neela & agreed to help her reclaim her ship
