Session began with everyone dealing with the infighting that erupted between the Europan nations, every nation was blaming each other for the Cultist attack and just when it seemed they were about to come to blows, the Gods themselves reincarnated all of the dead nobles, all besides Freya at least, who died to something other than a cultist, only Harnard Bluetooth of Ironbeard House knows what. Everyone sobered up upon seeing the miracle and soon packed up to return home.
The Heroes of Europa then gave each of their wards a pep talk and their mission, to find the cultists who did this and stop them, just as the Heroes had done 49 years ago. The Heroes could not join them on this quest as they are needed back in their nations to prevent war in Europa from occurring, as well as to investigate how their magical vaults were raided for ancient Pre-Devastation era relics. During the goodbyes, the Sultana of House Sharyar said the following, a prophecy from the stars:
"I do solemnly prophesize. Thus unto every living being, and every living soul. Now cometh the age of the stars. A 7 thousand year battle within the embrace of the stars. Outside of which exists the chill void that encompasses all, reaching the terrible beyond. Into fear, chaos, and carnage, as the path stretcheth into pandemonium. You must go now to save us, all of you... and my fair consort."
Next up the party decided to investigate a few leads regarding the cultists. Here they all are:
First they investigated the portal the cultists used to bring reinforcements in and escape from, finding snow near it that stinks of death, it must be from the Dread Harbor, if they can find a shadowfell spirit, one infused with death, they would be able to peer into the Dread Harbor and learn more about the power of the cultists. They know of one nearby spirit that fought alongside Sobieski at the battle of Krakwa 49 years ago... Raidon and his noble and intelligent steed Leonard, Michael's second in command in fact, a brother in arms who led the forces outside the city walls in hit and run strikes against the besieging cultists until one of his own knights betrayed him... Now he attacks anyone on a horse that travels through his forest, friend or foe. Those that walk are allowed to pass in peace. They have yet to meet the spirit.
They then investigated the captain of the guard who was paid off by the cultists to let them into the city using a "tasteful" statue from Malad Duson's (Tiefling warlord from the one shot) manor. Thanks to help from Hegdahl Dougson, the new captain of the guard, they found Franciszek, and tricked him into leading them to Amir, a Kobold seller of exotic herbs at the East Aradia Trading Company , where they were able to subdue both and find out that Franciszek let Amir enter the city with dangerous poisons that the cultists then used to kill themselves to evade capture, Amir says that the order for herbs was placed by Saddam Ibn-Hussein of House Schazzen who is apparently working with the cultists.
The party then spent the rest of the time shopping, after being disgusted by the deluxe Rolls-Royce Boat Tail which is by far the most expensive carriage of all time. This 18.7-foot-long convertible with its vintage and modern design is powered by a twin-turbo V12 (6.75 liters for 563 horsepower) and 8-speed automatic transmission. This “rolling yacht” was produced only three times further increasing its power as a status symbol. The Party went on to get a normal wagon and horses to match.
The session was good, we ended on time, we had fun, staying on track still needs to be a priority and I need to figure out my vocabulary so I know what the fuck I am saying, but otherwise good.
