The party entered the crater, learning from Ally that if any firstborn (angel, devil, elemental, mechadrone, etc etc) entered the crater it would break the Celestial Compact and summon a response team. Ariange was about to release a water elemental from his water flask when he realized this would be breaking it and so he stopped. The gang also noticed one titan was not rusting, just sitting among the corpses of its fellows, its name being "Born to Battle"
The horde of "zombies" caught up to them, in reality they arent zombies, but alive, starving, rage-fueled humans who hurl themselves towards their foes with such fury that it drives them to appear undead. They are being led by a ball of explosions who stays under shade provided by terrified human slaves. The zombies tried to get to the party but once they entered the city they turned their attentions on the convoy of conqusitadors and Saxons instead as the party began to delve into the brass city
First they came across a storage unit with a rusted command drone squire named "red", who was missing his command plume and so couldnt lead his troops into battle. They later found one for him and had him gather up a bunch of Mechadrones to reinforce the convoy being attacked outside
Next they came across a prison being guarded by a large Mechadrone warrior, it has 7 cells: A Balor mass murderer, a weeping "void angel" charged with treason, a large shard of Tsara'Noga apparently showing signs of "rehabilitation" as its able to withstand being in the light of its cell bars, an asteroid from the belt of Embessh, a screaming shadow being tortured for eternity, a dead rage-infected human, and an empty cell. The guard informed them they didnt have the proper clearance and so they left, but squire gave him a fey coin
They quickly found the Command Room, got a map, a bunch of information revealing the City is actually a massive titan named Ecumenopolis who is nearly godlike in its power, now armed with this information they were able to go around the city as they pleased, going to the library first where they got even more information, a bit too much to cover in fact, here are some highlights: Ynbris was so strong it took Martius, Addus, and Ecumenopolis to imprison her in starlight, their battle sunk Briarland, Outsiders are proficient in gravity magic, dragons are, or rather were, very intelligent beings whose type was based on the type of magic they weilded, they are the firstborn of Vonaya. The was a dead dragon scholar in the room and the librarian's name was Data, he helped them find all this shit before they moved on, leaving some repair drones behind to start fixing the library's damaged console
They went to the envoy rooms next, once envoys from the secondborn races lived here, there is a room for every god but Addus (its his titan city), and one unlisted room that had a banshee surrounded by fairie and pixie corpses in a room filled with dead plants. Tarsil's room had a withered tiefling body whose books had all been burned, he was killed with the life sucked out of him and as he died he carved "E = O" into his bedframe with his nail. Reborah had a pile of sparkly dust that was the remains of a paladin who wrote in his journal that he was selected by Reborah for a "Stellar Soldier" project, his amulet is a guardian amulet. Beor had a dwarf studying mass teleportation magic, the envoy beleived the dwarves likely fled their human slaves by teleporting to another planet. Vonaya had an elf man who killed himself while looking at a picture of his family, its possible the daughter in the picture he was holding is still alive. Martius was the site of a last stand between the human envoy and the mechadrones sent to apprehend him, he took down several before they pinned him with their spears. Ynbris room was utterly blank and barren. Its here the party met Mo, a cleaning mechadrone, they took him with them
Tower of Addus: The personal home of Addus, they found a bunch of shit such as a revolver with infinite ammo, a "home away from home" that turned into a cozy cottage bunker instant fortress thing, a pair of winged boots, a animated shield named D who wont block crits, a powerful scroll of teleportation, a arcane grimoire that can eat other books, and addus personal journal, the letters being unintelligble for now.
Celestial Map: This celestial orrerry had a bunch of details about the stars, planets, cities and so on
Observation Dome: Here they watched as the convoy was about to be overwhelmed when "Born to Battle" woke up and pushed back the horde, lighting up the night with its solar cannons and talking to the conquistadors, its here that the party used their home away from home to sleep for a short rest, hearing the sounds of Tsara'Noga right outside
Lightning Matrix: This was some kind of powerful teleportation room, it had a trapped lightning elemental that Fafnir freed (which broke the celestial compact), the poor elemental had been trapped for 4 centuries, slowly withering away from the curse of the migration placed upon it. It seems their creator god wanted to punish them for something so if elementals dont stay on the move they begin to be ripped apart bit by bit until they die. The elemental thanked them then said it would go get Zyraxus to pay them back.
Pulsar Emitter: This powerful weapon apparently works by generating a miniature sun, its the most feared of Ecumenopolis weapon systems and has enough power for a 1-second burst provided it gets a "light siphon jump start"
Solar Cannon Array: defended by Unit 220 for the last 400 years, the cannons have been under constant attack by Tsara who despises Ecumenopolis because the titan and Zyraxus defeated her all by themselves during the final battle of the second outsider war.
Core: They arrived at the core, they heard Tsara following them and coming from the door on the opposite side of the core room. Squire ran in, seeing a massive hole had been punched through straight to the core with 7 small shrapnel wounds surroudning it. These smaller wounds were empty besides one which held a black blade of Martius in it, the only weapon able to kill Briarland skeletons. Squire overcame the maddening influence of the weapon just as Tsara was about to make her attack. Instead a devil and angel response team appeared to enforce the compact, led by Felana and Eve they began to bicker and we ended.
