Session 29: Titans and Towers Report

General Summary

  • The party met with Ecumenopolis, the new leader of the forces of light, he laid it all out for them, said to "fight as one", then sent them on their way to save Europa. Starting with...
  • Ecumenopolis arrived at the dread harbor, leveling it in seconds, he became tied up in the dragon counter attack lead by John Kelly, Kaden is with him, riding on the red dragon Caldabog, the pair landed and Kaden managed to get Caldabog to stand down long enough for the party to escape into the dread harbor tower.
  • They found the prisoners of the cult, Xaphan and Puck were still alive, Soot was gone, the others dead besides Dio whose wound had engulfed him, he attacked the party and was slain in doing so.
  • They traveled down the layers, finding that the cultists had destroyed, taken, or abandoned their fellows/all their items and objects and so on. They destroyed their records, the party captured several cultists, found 10,000 gp in the vault, uncovered that Gustavo is now the thrall of Elyxtraza and working for her as a mole in the cult, got several potions, found a pair of vampire fangs, several interesting books such as ones detailing the battle between Ynbris and Martius, Beor and Martius, humans and graviturgy, and a necrotic book of the shadowfell as well. 
  • In the 5th layer the party found Selena, a handmaiden of the raven queen, imprisoned in a magic circle, apparently being tortured by the cultists. After a brief battle due to her being starved and feral, they defeated her and Kaden fed her, she explained she was here to rescue him. 
  • The game ended there, with the party still having one more layer to go and a great many things to follow up on, they also learned about the events happening around Europa and decided to go deal with the dragons next, trying to save them from being exterminated in Angrose
