Session 4 report
General Summary
Luciane Pendragon and Misty shade pulled off a daring mission alongside the former pirate Alfor to recover Luciane's spellbook and journal from aboard The Free Hangman. They managed to sneak into the study of the mysterious individual who individually interviewed the party when they were first captured. Misty snuck into the cabin and stole several books, one that later turned out to be the spellbook, along with two large ledgers; One Blue, one red. Misty barely managed to escape the cabin without being discovered and the three of them ran back to the cave to join back up with Vindharpa, Ele'yas, Ida Blair and the scholar Belios -. Before being rejoined, they had been walking quite a while and disagreeing what to do with the scholar. In this tunnel before discovering some blasting powder hidden in the wall and ceiling with a cable leading out the way they were heading. The three of them decided to ask the accompanying freed slaves to help excavate the blasting powder. After a lot of tense conversation between Vindharpa and Ele'yas about if they should remove the magical silencing manicles they placed on him, the party was reunited but they could now hear people following them far behind. The party rushed out to the exit finding a detonator which Ele'yas pushed, sealing the tunnel but not without losing several of the freed slaves who didn't make it out in time. The party then came across a small seaside town filled with slaves and rough-looking sailors. The town had a boat but it wasn't big enough to take both the party and the remaining freed slaves. At a loss about if they should find a way back or simply head on alone, Vindharpa revealed that she had an alternative to which the party agreed to. Vindharpa cut her arm open pulling out a piece of ice that almost looked like glass. She dropped it into the churning, rough sea that spread out to a large ice shelf about 50 feet accross and was easilly able to fit both the party, Belios -, Alfor and the freed slaves. The group got on this ice sheet that didn't seem to be thrown around by the rough sea and started moving the moment Vindharpa stepped aboard. The Ice sheet shot off into the open ocean away from the Last Words Haven. Vindharpa Glóð then created a dome in the center of the sheet covering herself, Misty, Luciane and Belios -, facing him to say "Now, I think its time you and I had a talk."
