Storylines: Cypher and Dragon Lady Report
General Summary
With the help of Luo Jian, Dragon Lady locates the first “Chosen One” (a ten year-old child) from the Zhou Clan in an abandoned temple. She convinces the child (Sar Zhou) and his parents to accept the fate necessary — the child will leave the physical realm and join the ancestors. They agree…and the child is transformed into pure light and stored in the cracked Jade vase given to Dragon Lady by the family.
Cypher goes out to the farm where Algorithm dropped Lindsay. While he is mourning the death of Lindsay, a rippling field of energy begins to form in the air. Cypher and Dragon Lady stand in front or the forming energy field while The Hot Shot braces her weapon on the car some feet in the distance. After a few moments, a van comes barreling through the portal. Dragon Lady jumps on top of the van and Cypher portals out of the way. The Hot Shot shoots out a tire from the van. Cypher blasts the back of the van and Dragon Lady leaps inside and threatens the two men inside — two gray-haired technicians. The Hot Shot examines the gear in the back of the van, surmising that the van is used to send and receive very large amounts of information/energy within a close proximity of the van. Cypher blames the two men for Lindsay’s death, but they scream and plead with him that they have no idea what the’s talking about. They explain that they are on a mission…they must save Officer Randolph from an impending raid from Destroyer Soldiers. Dragon Lady senses that they are telling the truth. With that, Cypher’s better judgement prevails and he repairs the van’s technology. The Hot Shot changes the tire she shot, using the spare tire. And the team travels with the technicians to the neighborhood where Officer Randolph lives. Upon arrival, they notice two units of four soldiers converging on a house. The team quickly intervenes, knocking out the soldiers within seconds. Cypher goes inside the house with the technicians as they explain, “We are with ‘The Division’ and we’ve come to bring you to safety.”
