In Overlay's introduction, three soldiers in Destroyer's army come to his dojo for additional training as they are frustrated with the lack of training they've received -- and the fact that they are getting beat too often by resistance fighters. Though disrespecting the dojo, the three men pay a large sum of money to be 'trained'. But they have very little patience. Seamus (Overlay's secret ID) easily deflects their rowdy advances, but the owner of the dojo willingly takes on their blows...hoping to avoid their ire. But Seamus steps in, taking the blows. The men leave satisfied, but not before Seamus uses his powers to track their vehicle and the path to their base.
In Liliana's continuing storyline, she has lunch with Lil'Rocket (both in normal ID) at a posh Indian food restaurant perched high atop a building in Millennium City. Jerry knows the proprietors and is welcomed without an invitation.
During the meal, Liliana has a conversation with her father who shares that he is safe in the PRIMUS doomsday safe-house -- he is leading the European Resistance. Just as they are ending the phone call, his eyes widen as a helicopter is visible descending behind Liliana. She ends the call as things get dangerous!
While hiding under the table in secret ID, the team requests help from the New Champions - only Lyzen is close enough to come quickly, though Ghost begins her return from the moon, just in case. When Lyzen appears at the end of the rooftop restaurant, Liliana uses the opportunity to distract the operatives who have spotted them under the table. In the blink of an eye, and while all heads are turned, Jerry transforms into Lil'Rocket and brings himself and Liliana through the floor desolid.
Meanwhile, the agents take shots at Lyzen, an open target, but miss wildly. The helicopter, though, was a different story. It sprayed armor piercing rapid machine gun fire across the rooftop, hitting civilians and Lyzen alike.
While she was under fire, Lil'Rocket returned to the rooftop and disarmed all of the agents. Liliana changed into super heroic ID and attempted to thwart the helicopter with her telekinetic strength...but it continued firing at Lyzen.
She withstood one round of fire but succumbed to the second round. Ultimately, she fell to the floor but recovered quickly enough to portal underneath the helicopter (and out of view).
The agents attempted to escape down the fire escape, but Rocket entangled them all in intense light. And the battle ended when Lyzen portaled into the helicopter and activated her Runeforce swarm, a large area of complete darkness (all radio, sight, hearing, and awareness completely gone). The helicopter crashed to the ground, but Lyzen portaled to saftey.
Liliana and Lil'Rocket saved the restaurant owners, just like the other chefs who'd been targeted before.
