Destroid Manufacturing Plant Report
General Summary
After destroying the endurance dampeners at the Education Camp north of Millennium City — and capturing Shamrock and The Shadow Queen — the team rescued the people who had been held captive, giving them money, resources, and offering to place them with various resistance groups around the country. At some point in the transfer of the individuals from the prison encampment, there is mention of a Destroid Manufacturing Plant by the same crazed man who blurted out “Destroyer is dead and I can prove it!”. Shamrock and The Shadow Queen are within earshot of his claim this time and use it as an opportunity to negotiate their escape. They explain that they know where the manufacturing plant is and can gain the team access to the building, but they will need to approach the building alone. ”I know the entry codes! And they know Shammy is with me, so they’ll be expecting us both. You NEED us!”, she says. No one is convinced by her explanation…but the team listens as the location of the manufacturing plant is provided. Then, Lyzen touches both of the prisoners while they are held, draining their fortitude until they fall unconscious. She then places a device behind their necks and they begin to float unconsciously several feet off the ground. Lyzen explains to the group, ”Runeforce created these devices before he…” she pauses and then begins again, ”These are called ‘Sklarik States’. They will keep these two unconscious until you remove the devices. Be careful not to keep them unconscious for too long, or they’ll starve to death.” she smiles. Considering that there might be at least some truth to their claims, the unconscious prisoners are loaded into an unmarked van and the group takes a ‘field trip’ with them for several hours, heading toward the location described by the Shadow Queen. However, at some point along the journey, the Luck of the Irish comes to bear and the device connected to Shamrock becomes unsealed. Over the next few minutes, he gains consciousness, but remains floating in the back. He looks over to The Shadow Queen and sees her floating unconscious as well. Because her hair is hanging downward, he notices the device on her neck. Being surrounded by the New Champions, he doesn’t risk removing her device…assuming they will notice. But he spends the next few hours planning their escape. Once they arrive at the facility, he gets the sneak opportunity to remove the device from her neck. She falls to the ground and begins to regain consciousness. Before anyone can act quickly enough, she turns into shadows…
