The heroes respond to a distress call from Division only to witness a devastating sight.
The politician they had recently saved was apparently a 'plant' from Algorithm -- a type Delta Subversive robot, previously utilized by Mechanon, but now under Algorithm's control.
Once Division brought the politician into their fold, he triggered his subversive protocols and forced-open their firewall...allowing Algorithm to send in Type I-37 robots to devastate Division.
The New Champions arrived onsite, but they were too late. Almost all of the scientists in the moon-lab had been killed.
The team quickly defeated the Type I-37 robots. Dragon Lady attacked first, but she was followed quickly by Liliana, The Hot Shot, and Ghost. Sparks took over one of the robots, with assistance from Cypher.
Then Algorithm stepped through the portal into Division's base. And wished he hadn't. Ultimately, it was Ghost's one-two punches that knocked out Algorithm (in the form of Mechanon). Liliana took the opportunity to slice Mechanon's life-less form into tiny pieces. Meanwhile, Cypher closed the forced-open firewall, preventing other intruders from entering.
Once the threat of Algorithm was subdued, Cypher, Sparks, and Lyzen examined the Division outpost, looking for survivors.
They discovered that this moon-base was the location from where their agents had been entering the Cyberplane...which was good, because that is the same place where Sparks had recently discovered the source of the Vanishings...and the source of recent attacks against Socrates and Homestead.
So the heroes needed a way to get into the Cyberplane...and now they have found one...not without a cost.
