Expanding the DarkR Web: Mount Whitney Report

General Summary

After interrogating the Five Sisters -- the young witches faced by the New Champions at the Mount Mitchell DarkR Web Device installation -- the team knew to expect a confrontation at the second mountain-top site.   The sisters had been attempting to locate and bring-back their "vanished" parents. These young ladies lost their parents at the age of nine years old, and have been attempting to navigate Dr. Destroyer's world by themselves, not fully knowing their own magical abilities.   Though unsuccessful at their attempts to find their parents, they have inadvertently unleashed summoned beings at the very same sites where the New Champions need to install DarkR web devices...   At this particular site, a hoard of Ice Elementals had taken residence in the area near the radio tower. The forested area outside of an obvious radius was lush and green...but within the circle, the mountaintop was bitterly cold and covered in snow.   Ghost scanned the area as the New Champions approached, not seeing any signs of activity, but Lord Magus and Nemesis could both clearly detect the ominous magical energy that portended the clear danger posed in this area.   As the team stepped out of the Xplore Plane, Ice Creatures formed up out of the ground and came toward them. For the first time, the New Champions seemed to have found their match...the creatures were strong and undeterred, moving seamlessly as if with a hive-mind. Lord Magus was attacked with a blast of ice and knocked into the forest. Nemesis also was pummeled into the side of the mountain.   But when Faust grabbed one of the Ice Creatures and threw it out of the ring of ice at the mountain's peak, it became obvious that these creatures could not survive outside of the confines of the icy cold. Very soon, following the same tactic, the team had grabbed, thrown, or punched all of the creatures into oblivion.   But then the the "father" of the creatures -- on top of the XPlore Plane, nearly ripping it into pieces. Fazer was nearby, though, and remained focused on 'healing' the plane...just narrowly preventing its destruction.   Between Lord Magus' spell-casting -- the icy mind-prisons he created for the Ice Creatures -- and the quick-thinking of the team, the New Champions were able to destroy the Elemental and return the mountain top to normal...   ...except for the Electric Pole that Faust ripped out of the ground, of course. Now the electric company has to come out and restore electricity before the DarkR Web will be able to expand.   What devastating creatures will the New Champions face at their next DarkR Web installation assignment in Pico de Orizaba in Mexico?
