Storylines: Lil'Rocket and Dragon Lady Report
General Summary
In this storyline session, Lil'Rocket orders food from his favorite French restaurant, but using a delivery service. He picks up the food in the park. On the bag of food, there is a note, "Fast Food Man -- I'm sorry you can't come into the shop now. Too many of us are being targeted by Destroyer. We have a warehouse of supplies, if you need anything. We know you are good for it..." The note is signed by "The Chefs United". When Rocket eventually goes to their food warehouse, out of curiosity (or hunger), he finds two chefs bound by ropes in the back of the building. As he passes into the building, laser beams fill the space and turrets rise from the floors. Lil'Rocket goes desolid and passes through the lasers unharmed. When he gets closer to the chefs, Destroyer Air Agents drop from into the building from the sky and threaten him, "Surrender now, Fast Food Man. We know you are supporting the resistance. And you will be vanished soon. Maybe if you tell us who you are working with, we can spare you for a little while..." Lil'Rocket is able to bluff them into thinking that more heroes are waiting outside the building. In that moment, when they flinched, Lil'Rocket touches both of the chefs, bring them desolid, and escapes. But the threat of vanishing remains.
In the next storyline, Dragon Lady has been working with Luo Jian and the Ancestor to locate and convince several of the clans to accept their fate as “Chosen Ones” and depart from the earthly realm. But Luo Jian suggests that the path will only get harder from this point onward. Many of the clans remaining are adversarial with the “light of the path” and will not willingly depart from the earthly realm. They must be subdued. He explains “There is an ancient spirit realm ritual whereby Chosen Ones test their strength and learn wisdom and submission. The ritual is a single combat, called ‘Sǐwáng zhìhuì’ which means ‘Wisdom in Death’”. “This will be a battle to the death. Are you prepared for this, Dragon Lady?”, he asks. After locating the chosen one from the Lui clan, the Ancestor appears near Dragon Lady and performs the ritual to bring forward the arches of battle from the spirit realm. The court of ancestors from above announces, “The victor will claim the prize of the vanquished Chosen One’s soul.” Luo Jian speaks quickly to Dragon Lady before she enters the platform, “You will win an commit his spirit to the realm. He will thank you one day.”
