Session 02: Doric and Miramenor Make Ready to Solve a Mystery Report

General Summary

WOOD ELF SETTLEMENT OF NEVERWINTER WOOD

  • Doric and Miramenor Starsinger make their way to the Emerald Tavern near where they met with Reidoth. Their goal is to try and get more information and help to solve the mystery of the missing friends.
  • Having met both Thaymirr and Naivara, they begin asking around the tavern for leads.
  • The elderly Daratrine is approached abruptly by Miramenor. After a short greeting, she eventually reveals that she saw Dilya and Torrieth talking about going hunting but they were also whispering as well. She believes they were up to something else as well.
  • Daratrine also expressed anger at Forge Fitzwilliam because of his logging efforts in the woods. His desires to gain power around Neverwinter were considered a disgrace.
  • Doric tries to get more information from Daratrine but things turned heated as she feels Daratrine always treats her like a child.
  • Shortly after, another wood elf named Nasir approached saying his friend Luvon had also been missing. He also said that he thought Luvon had a crush on Doric
  • The party decides to head towards the river to see what they might find

    •   RIVER NORTH OF THE WOOD ELF SETTLEMENT
  • Doric leads the group to the normal place they cross the river to go hunting but notices the small raft they use to pull themselves across the river is still on this side.
  • They proceed to do some more scouting along the river's edge until they get to a clearing with a path that leads to the river. Unfortunately, they hear some yelling and barking where soon after they encounter a wolf and his bandit guide.
  • Naivara is able to put down the wolf quickly using Tasha's Hideous Laughter and Miramenor uses his thorn whip with a strong attack that rips off both arms of the bandit with force.
  • The party continues farther north towards the river but run into three more bandits. Thaymirr using Thaumatergy to increase the loudness of his voice in attempt to threaten them but it doesn't work. Instead, he casts a big fog cloud to help reduce them to blindness.
