Session 14 Report
General Summary
The crew found their way back to the Judith under a heavy NCPD presence after the infiltration of the Opera - An Empire of Night. After a heated discussion during the debriefing between the crew, Captain Coil, and Captain Smiter, the team discusses the mission. The team learns that the crate extracted from Arasaka was a cryo-tank containing Malta Santiago. Dr. Sullivan provides an update on her condition informing everyone that she is not accepting the de-freeze drugs, but is in stable condition. She was determined to have two cybernetic implants, a data chip and a neural implant that appeared to be the same type as the chip that was found in Metzo. The Admiral requests that Sullivan removes the chip but not injure the girl further. Hector assists Sullivan in extracting the data chip and recognize it as a brain dance recording. The Quartermaster gives Riley a locked message instructing her that an older man dropped it off who had a cybernetic eye implant and said he was friends with CO-TOM. The admiral and the crew watch as the Neon Witch prepares the All Seeing Eye to view the dance. Gene volunteers to interface with the chip so that the team can view the images. The witch informs the team that the chip is somewhat damaged, but that three memories are visible. After watching the images, the witch in a weakened state agrees to make a copy of the image for them tomorrow, and the crew decides to head back to into town to get breakfast. As the team is leaving the Judith, Jackie's vehicle is rammed by a large truck as harpoons attempt to break in through the armor. A second truck swerved on to the road hot behind Riley. As the team shot out of the vehicle, Jackie was able to maneuver the one truck to crash into the building as after an explosion in the road, Riley lost control of her vehicle and was almost ran over. Jackie and Gene using the weapons of the Cerebrus were able to disable the second truck, it crashing along the sidewalk on the other side of the street. Slaughterhouse boosters began to climb and crawl from the crashed trucks as the team shot at them from the vehicle. Riley was able to kill one of the boosters that ran for her, before noticing a motorcycle driving down the street from where they came. The bike stopped in the center of the street, before firing at the vehicle, piercing the armor and cutting into the flesh of the riders inside. With a third rocket, the crew demolish the motorcyclist, and decided to speed off to Hector's Lab to recoup and heal. Before pulling away, Jackie and Doug throw the only living booster into the trunk of the vehicle. Following closely behind, Riley stopped to grab the rifle, and noticed through the broken helmet that the rider was Pretty Boy Ken. As the crew arrived back in the city, out of the corner of her eye Riley catches a glimpse of one of the TV's in the Wall with Some Holes proclaiming a news bulletin that an arrest warrant has been issued for 'Riley and the Fransita Five'.
