Kadesh: City of War - Season 4 Ep. 15 Session 91

General Summary

After a treacherous night, the Wanadead and co. gathered their things and prepared to say good-bye to the ones they lost. Thand, the Sinful Seven's brute, was massacred, yet Eirkoris and Lucien's bodies could not be found. With the hope that they managed to escape the draconian specters, the party waited, gave a goodbye to Thand, and took the time to rest and eat breakfast. During this time, Aeolus and Fid, the Sinful Seven's Assassin, went to explore the rest of the preliminary area. What they found were large chunks of a material that looked very familiar to Aeolus, they were made of the the same alien material as the vaults were made of. This find seemed to pose more questions then answer them.   Fortunately, Eirkoris and Lucien proved to be alive, having escaped the specters, and made their way back to the group. Once they regrouped, the party decided to explore deeper into the ruins, after explaining to their companions the dangers of what could lie, specifically the Cult of Asmodeus, who they believed were in the other group. As they journeyed through the ruined structure, the party came across what looked to be experiment chambers and laboratories containing dragon specimens and ties to the elemental planes. They decided not to meddle with what was in the rooms. Eventually, as they explored deeper into the structure they came to a huge crystal door. As Eirkoris touched it, it opened to reveal a long passageway even further away from Kadesh.   They journeyed for almost 4 hours, until they found what looked to be an exit from the tunnel. Upon exiting, they found themselves looking into a massive cavern, its walls composed of crystal, with large crystal geodes jutting out of it. A faint pulse could be seen emanating from the crystals and energy could be seen moving along the walls, towards the center of the cavern. There, in the center, stood a massive toppled over ruin that resembled a in parts a large castle or even a city block. Though all of its features and archtectural desgin appeared alien. As the party watched the rhythmic pulses move through the crystal walls towards the ruined structure, Aeolus noticed there were other entrances to this cavern. In total, Aeolus spotted 6 opens, seemgingly grouped up into pairs of two, with long descending staircases that reached the floor of the cavern, like the one they were on. As Aeolus looked, she spotted people on one of the staircases, that lied in the middle of the three sets. Believing it to be the ones they were racing, Aeolus instructed everyone to make a mad dash for the city.   After avoiding a few close calls as they decended the stairs, they made it to the ground, where they sprinted towards an opening that was now becoming visible. It seemed the other group saw it as well. After almost an hour of sprinting, the two groups arrived at the opening at the same time, being obscured by a jutting piece of crystal for only a few moments before the battle commenced. Much to the Wanadead's horror, the Cult of Asmodeus was indeed there with the other group; including the Wings.

They retrieved two elemental gems from the Element Experiment Room. One Fire and one Earth.

Arsenius and Brandar had a talk about faith.   Eirkoris thanked Lucien for helping save them.   Fid and Aeolus explored a room together.   The party debated killing the dragon wyrmling.   Eirkoris, Arsenius, and Aeolus told the rest of their group about the Wings and the Cult.
