Session 2: A Lost Amethyst - The Parliament Plot Thickens Report

General Summary

The boys started by meeting Lucian at his office. He disgruntedly suggests they meet after dark at the lower docks. They met at a small drinks/restaraunt stand. Lucian tells them Steven the guard is missing as well as another Dock Master's Keep guard named Christopher. Korac'h admits he tried to steal the ring in evidence, and Lucian lambasts him for it. While discussing this they hear a scream.   Nolfravell rushes over while Lucian takes it as an opportunity to flee. Nolfravell helps pull a body out of the water that is cut in multiple places including slits in the side of his mouth. Nolfravell recognizes the body as a dock master's keep guard (it's Christopher but they didn't figure that out.)   Korac'h is approached by the deputy who arrives on the scene and curiously asks what he's doing at the scene. Korac'h is super sketchy and fails to answer (also implying he's not into women.) They left and went home where a squire said Speaker Jenik wanted to meet with them in the morning.   The boys got coffee (and tea for Jenik they instead poured into a plant.) Jenik says he's upset the boys have no evidence to support their claims about the scrolls. He tells them to do their jobs and keep an eye on Gail. Korac'h puts out a thieves guild piece of information about what's going on at the docks.   The boys then head over to the Dock Master's Keep to talk to Lucian and for Korac'h to do his daily duties. On Korac'hs desk is a folder containing a crime/gossip column. It details Korac'hs weird answers given to the deputy and a note from Lucian saying that they are done. Lucian will reach out if he has anything important but not to associate with Korac'h again.   The boys then went to Gail's temporary housing and talked with her. They talked about politics and how war is inevitable. At the end, Gail whispered in Korac'hs ear "Silly to put out an amount like that to find information. Search the underdocks yourself."   As the boys are leaving they run into Kenrith, back from his meditation. He is worried about his friends in lockup and asks the boys to help free them.
