Session 9: A Lost Amethyst - Rakdos Room of Random Report

General Summary

The party was brought before Jester. He stole their stuff, igniting the lightsaber, and carving Cozadel's symbol into Kenrith's chest.   The party was then thrown into the room of random. A d20 was spun and if they guessed right they were given the antidote to gas being pumped into the room. (The gas caused a condition at random that progressed each time.) They went through the mirror room. Each of them seeing ideal versions of themselves.   Nolfravell running Deadwood academy. Kenrith overseeing a prosperous temple of Cozadel. Korac'h ruling the senate and then the world.   They solved the puzzle by bringing the skull into the mirrored position. Then they solved the skull room, solving the sudoku style puzzle. Next, they tackled the phobia room, Kenrith staring his dark medusa-like rendering down until the door opened. Finally they weighed the Jester hat's bells on the scale.   At that point the Jester said they had to fight his minion and summoned a chain devil. The d20 said they must defeat it in 1 single turn or their friends (Muse and the Medusa) would die. Kenrith on his first turn command Surrenders on the devil and he burst into flames, returning to the deep plane.   Jester, further enraged decides to sick his minions on the party, but not before The Dark Knight intervened, covering the top of the pit in magical darkness. He fought with Jester, while Muse and Medusa fell down into the pit.   Eventually, Jester falls in as he engages with The Dark Knight. Jester goes down and gives a bit of health back to Korac'h, but then comes back in an enraged monstrous version of himself. He beat down The Dark Knight.   Meanwhile, Muse attempts to boost Nolfravell up to the top grate by swinging him on her hammer. He rolls a Nat 1, getting nutted by the hammer.   Eventually, as things look grim, Lady Rose appears to save the day. Binding Jester before he escapes, echoing in Kenrith's mind that he'll be back. The party defeats all of Jester's minions and Lady Rose's territory booms enough that she heals the party before falling unconscious as the dark necrotic force that Kenrith and Korac'h previously felt resurges, this time even stronger.   Korac'h feels the presence in his mind asking for him to turn on the magisterium and free him. The party travels to the gravefields.
