Session 23: A Lost Empire - Rescue Agosto Report

General Summary

The party unties Korac'h's restraints. They talk and eventually knock him back unconscious so he can get a long rest.   Then Nolfravell and Kenrith attempt to fortify the outpost. They are halfway through when Lady Rilen and The Jester make an ostentatious entrance.   A fight ensues. The Jester blows up portions of the inside of the building, while admitting Kenrith is his nephew. The party is sorely losing when The Jester swung his attention to Agosto. He casted disintegrate on Agosto who began to turn to dust until Lady Rilen counterspells it. Then she dashes forward and pushes herself & Jester through a dimension door.   The part recovers a bit and prepares to escape the outpost. Kenrith and Korac'h shapeshift into Jester & Lady Rilen. Nolfravell scrounges up some Cerasium armor, and the party walks up to the army, asking for horses.   Nolfravell goes with some Cerasium soldiers to get the horses. He fumbles the talking but escapes with 12 horses. The party meets up and the soldiers mount the horses. The group rides on horseback south towards Relic Town. Angel swoops down and grabs Agosto. Nolfravell sends darts at them with a rage yet unseen. Korac'h summons a zombie hord and black wings. He tries to intercept Angel, and they all dive-bomb downwards as they wrestle over Agosto.   At the last second everyone pulls out and Nolfravell lands final blows on Angel who tumbles to the ground. Korac'h loses concentration but he and Agosto are scooped up. Agosto is dropped onto Nolfravell's horse while Korac'h rides in the Skyjek Roc's talons.   The horses of the party and the army pursuing fall behind, but the growing zombie infection pulls all of the enemy squads away except for one.
