Session 1: A Lost Amethyst - New Arrivals In Empire Port Report

General Summary

Nolfravell arrived and crossed paths with Kenrith very briefly as Kenrith made his way to the woods outside the Eastern States.   Nolfravell made his way through to Craftsman's Pointe, failed to find work with a Tanner who recommended he head to Dock Master's Keep. At the Dock Master's Keep, he ran into Lucian   who jokingly told him that Korac'h was looking for a body man. Korac'h genuinely in need of a bodyguard welcomed Nolfravell.   Korac'h jokingly sent magic sparks at Lucian's eyes, and Nolfravell joined in, summoning his astral form but guards around him drew their swords and he learned that magic is loosely forbidden in Empire Port.   Then, Gail Lady of Cerasium arrived, confusing Korac'h who knew her from his interactions with her through the Thieves Guild of Empire Port. She thought of him as a dumbass (as always) but several scrolls were found in her possession that was then impounded in the Guard Hall as contraband. She blamed a scribe who was also taken there as a scapegoat.   The boys, curious about the nature of the scrolls, went to the Guard Hall to investigate them after dropping Gail off at her temporary residence. They were barred from entering the evidence lockup without a warrant, so they begged Lucian for one. He gave them one but told them it was a bad idea.   They identified the scrolls as rare Scrolls of Protection, that create a warding magical cylinder around a target that bars entry from undead and plants (possibly interpreted as undead-plants). They attempted and hilariously failed at stealing a ring of swimming from evidence lockup, with it ending in a guard's hood as they walked away. Then they milled about and went to bed.   In the morning when they went to escort Gail to Parliament so for treaty renegotiations, she had already escorted herself early. They then arrived behind schedule and were chastised by Jenik . During the ratification of the meeting minutes, Gail proposed the idea of a blockade between the two city-states which sent the committee into such a ruckus that a recess was called. While exiting, an aid called out "You can't impose Cerasium Law here!" and attempted to kill Gail, but she deftly incapacitated him. Nolfravell questioned her but she simply let on that she was intelligent and planted a seed to not trust Korac'h so thoroughly.   The boys now worried about what Gail was going to do with the scrolls and why she needed them went back to double-check on them. They weren't there and no record of them was held by the administrator named Roz. They went back to Lucian and told him of this. He made a show of burning one of the copies of the warrant in front of them, but secretly has one final copy hidden in his desk. He told them that whoever erased the records must be high enough up the ladder that they should proceed with caution, but that he would ask around and see who else had access to the scrolls that day.

Rewards Granted

They almost nabbed a Ring of Swimming but lost it on the way out. Nolfravell purchased a Yklwa.
