Session 10: A Lost Amethyst - Vod Savo's Rise Report

General Summary

The party long rested but halfway through the rest, Korac'h on watch and Nolfravell awaken from sleep see Lady Rose's form walking even in magical slumber. Vod Savo's spirit speaks through Rose and asks that the party awaken him. They dismiss the request and she falls back asleep.   In the morning, the party then walks to the grave fields and see the bodies of those they recently killed being planted and watered. While watching, a pit appears that swallows two members of the magisterium. Von Frost is resurrected and possessed by Vod Savo and answers some exposition questions about his return and who he is.   The party then realizes Crane's mist is fast approaching and so they walk towards the underhalls. Amethyst sends message and meets the party, asking them to assist her in breaking into the Magisterium's vault to get some items they'll use to imprison Vod Savo.   They stealth into the Underhalls, but are noticed by a thought spy. Amethyst seals them all in a closet, but its too late and the party isn't able to deal with him before he sounds the alarm.   More mages close in on the party. Amethyst wild shapes into a dimetrodon but is hit out of it by a mage and then taken immediately to unconsiousness by Lady Rilen who appears out of nowhere. She stabs an unconscious Amethyst forcing her to fail two death-saving throws and threatens to end it all if the party makes a single move.   Vod Savo tempts Korac'h to let him take over and Korac'h accepts, raising vast amounts of undead. A ghost possesses Lady Rilen, stopping her from any further harm and drives her own knife into her stomach.   Lady Rilen regains control and flees as the party defeats the remaining mages who then become undead. Kenrith loses himself to Cozadel's rage as Korac'h is lost to Vod Savo's influence. Eventually, both calm down as the undead back off.   Then the fissures popping up across the undercity intensify, cracking holes in the cave cieling and buildings of parliament begin to crash down into the undercity.
