SW Session 15: Thorstal.

General Summary

After clearing the Smokey Den Mines the Shadow Team continue their journey towards the capital. Ted Burnstien tries his new ring out which has dissapointing but intriguing results. In the front of the cart Brokk Stonefist givens Bhul a minor paralasis potion and steals one of the two horses. He asked Bhul to forgive him but he needs to find his brother Helver Stonefist. Accepting Brokk's decision they finally arrive at the city of Thorstal. On their way towards the gates of the city, which sit between the legs of a almighty statue of Titus The Blue they notice a large number of Red-Cloaks entering the city with welcoming arms. 
At the gates they are questioned by Captain Carlo who informs them that people are arriving from all over to hear the announcment from Archduke Blandia Betto happening the following day. 
Ted convinces Bhul and Leone Laponis to head to his old house (MANSION). They discover that the place is run down and graffitied. Its gates are off the hinges, hedges thorned and fountain filled with old pipes. The 'tacky' statue of Ted remains pristine though, much to Bhul's annoyance and Ted's vindication after spending so much money on it. The inside of the mansion was no different, everything was gone. Walls were emptied, safes cleared with all that remains being two chests by the entrance. 
Bhul waitied outside and took a wee against the statue, the enchantment redirecting the urine into his face. Meanwhile Long and Ted went to Ted's old bedroom. After a very poor attempt at opening the door from Ted, Long simply shouted inside and suprise to both of them a voice answered. At the door stood Lady Amy Warrick, a previous employee, friend and partner of Ted. She berated the pair of them whilst Ted almost vomitted at the decor in his old room. Lady Amy explained that since Ted left her high and dry she decided to take the mansion for herself but coul only be bothered decorating the bedroom. She also informed them that she has taken over the old information gathering business and now has a number of 'mice' spread around the city. They pay her handsomely for information on The Assembly and every better for entry to the party after the speach. Though it would be difficult for her she promised to get them in as workers (Croupiers and entertainers).
They left Ted's old home in search for the Blue Monk monestry where they were promised room and board by Brother Tiberius. In the monestry they met three other monks: Brother Favo, Brother Cassie and Brother Leo. 
That evening after being granted a room by the monestrys leader Favo, Ted has another dream. This time the creature revealled more of itself. Long pointed ears, a horrid toothy grin and sharp pointed fingers. There were two of them, coming from the areas of the room that Bhul and Long were in. Ted reacted, casting Hold Person on the creature and seemingly it worked. However, the creature darted forward creaming curses at Ted. Ted awoke from his nightmare, Bhull was being held and that was immedietly dropped when Ted realised. They searched for traces of magic and Ted felt an illusion spell. They called for Brother Cassie who could not detect anything. They quized Cassie about the creature and whether it has anything to do with the monks as there has been two occasions when the creature has appeared and monks were about. Cassie appeared trustworhty albiet keen to learn and was given permission from Ted to use detect thoughts on him. Cassie discovered that the illusion spell was not in the room but instead cast withing Ted's mind. 
Cassie gave them more information on their knowledge on The Assembly. They had seen a Dwarven figure walking away from the place the night previous and caught three different members arriving at their HQ. The building they were opperating in was Ted's old bank. Cassie confirmed they they had seen The Soul Snatcher, Losern and A dark fey entity around the area. (Though the dark fey has only been spotted once). 
They all returned to their sleep with Brother Leo standing guard.
