AC4L: Flight of the Empress

A Dungeons & Dragons 5e game In the world of Taerekel
| Full
The Governess of the Central Province has her eyes firmly set on a shiny new title.   A college teacher, naive ex-guard, performance-savvy thief and a cleric to an unknown deity end up bound together under the banner of the Copper Fangs. Acting as the bite of the common people they uncover a state-funded realm of horrific experiments and silencing murder. The government hid plans for continental war with an eagerness for domination.   Escaping assassination the party rushes to try and warn the first target about the attack. At first things seem successful, but when metallic dragons under some sort of control signal begin throwing themselves mindlessly at the city wall under it becomes clear that solving this won't be so easy.   Especially when one of the most hated villains in history reveals himself to be alive and claims to be a God.

  • Menos
Supporting Cast
  • Dizzy
An inventor, enchanter, and multi-god, multi-pantheon cleric, Dizzy is a woman of many skills and invaluable to the Copper Fangs even beyond the Central Capital's chapter. She's strange, but charming in her rough-around-the-edges shameless way.
  • Flea
A gnomish wild magic sorcerer who doesn't seem to be able to do much more than create food reliably- his magical abilities seem to otherwise be 100% pop-off.
  • Kegneir
The champion of Baphomet, a heavy-horned bull minotaur with a lax attitude and a lot of punch juice what to do the punchings with. He sounds bored much of the time but is actually sweet if you listen to his words and not his tone- despite this many have a poor opinion of him.
  • Kimswe
An orcish councilor in Hellmouth from the residential district representation. Kimswe is a long time political professional who has maintained high approval by exercising extreme patience and a refusal to do less than keep a finger on the pulse of the city themself.
  • Morgan Marigold
A necromancer so ancient and powerful that he claims one day he simply felt full. He has been finding ways to spend his endless time since, and in the modern day owns a nightclub in the Central Capital known as The Morgue. He's friendly enough with the party but made sure they understood damn well that snitches get stitches from liches.
  • Penny Nulzmdarv
A 13yr old tiefling and an incredibly powerful psionic, Penny is also a prolific reader and enjoys learning about languages and science. There is a lot of power and PTSD packed in to this poor little thing.
  • Rembrandt
An immense dragon turtle living in the reservoir of the Copper Fangs base. Brought to the extremely landlocked Central Capital by the exotic pet trade, she was abandoned in the then-new sewer system once she proved to be a less than excellent pet.
  • Seoulare Kyorlin
Champion of Minya and young for an elf, Sol is an ex-cop who is training to do good that he believes in with the Copper Fangs. He's a sweet guy who has been trying to take a positive look at things but he's not the best at not being a dork of one kind or another from moment to moment.
  • Talhan Rouge
The owner of the Museum of Nature and Magic, AKA the MONAM, Talhan Rouge is a brown dragonborn who is a well-known local celebrity based entirely on his wealth and the good he tries to do with it.
  • Tisarie
The only female general in the Southern Province's Hellmouth division, as well as the highest ranking member that is not orcish or minotaur in descent. She has to work twice as hard to get half the sway in decisions but will be damned if she doesn't try.
  • Uhlkeshai
A hardy orcish woman with a glass eye and a previous caravan wagon owner who brought the party together. Overall she's laid back and kindly but has the kind of determination that most only wish they could hold a candle to.
  • Wheeler Arkanvecko
Wheeler is a green dragonborn, the twin sister of Tinley Arkanvecko, and one of the most respected junk dogs. She's also a thief who thinks herself something of a modern day Robin Hood.
