Physical Description
Facial Features
He shows his lineage very strongly with many chin spines and a thick brow ridge built up of spines. His eyes are pale and deep-set, and his nostrils are high on the face.
Identifying Characteristics
Just beneath his chin he has an immobile dewlap with a bright red to orange color.
Physical quirks
Talhan has two fused vertebrae on top of other spinal issues common in dragonborn of high draconic blood percentage. This causes him pinched nerves in the legs as well as chronic pain, and many days he requires a cane to walk.
Apparel & Accessories
Basically always seen in something like formal wear, often an actual suit but at the very least a button up shirt. His scales are not conducive to pull-over style fashions!
Specialized Equipment
Rather than a true elemental breath weapon his gizzard produces sand.

Personal history
Talhan Rouge was born to a wealthy family that had made their wealth in the Chromatic Extermination, with his grandfather and father having invented a variety of weaponry for the Last War before moving on to specialized dragon hunting equipment. Unlike the adults in his life and his older brother he wasn't much on hunting for sport and never took to inventing in the same way they did- he cared more about natural sciences, collecting relics, and other such things they considered "impractical for business." Between that and his being born with a disability he was treated as second rate in his own home and was never meant to inherit a cent of the family fortune.
Talhan's father died of old age, and the fortune was inherited by his older brother. A tragic accident left his brother dead and the multi-generational home and fortune in Talhan's hands. He immediately began to put that money behind projects he believed in and became a major contributor to local education. He had a clear favorite for who to support: the Museum of Nature and Magic, to whom he donated many of the "trophies" his family kept from their hunts.
Eventually he managed to go so far as to buy the MONAM in its entirety, happily taking on stewardship of the collections and employees. He made admission free to encourage lower income families to visit and learn. Since then he has sponsored expeditions and the inventions that make them possible, including the first airship, and has kept a rotation of fresh exhibits.

Talhan Rouge had a pre-established reputation as a "rich playboy" before the party met him, but has done nothing to confirm that. All the party knows is he likes Adari and is a nerd.

He seems to have studied history, arcana and conservation extensively. Actual education is not currently known to the party.

Talhan seems to carry a large burden of shame for his family's history and the hand they played in the genocide of chromatic dragons.

- Education is the most important thing for youth and should be freely available to them at all levels. Every child should be encouraged to take an interest in science, arcana and history.
- There was no glory in the Chromatic Extermination- it was nothing but a cruel genocide enacted against multiple species for the actions of an individual.

Talhan began to help the party with the intention of finding out why he had been doctored in to that photograph and framed for a cash reward of all things. He now has a desire to see the Governess fail since she took the original airship he funded the development of to make the machines of war known as the Sky Whales.

Contacts & Relations
- Adari shares his opinions on education and the Chromatic Extermination which put her firmly in his good books on their first meeting, and he found her very attractive. Flirting as he did seemed awkward and cute especially since the sudden infatuation seemed to be mutual. He has rapidly grown to trust and care for her and worries over the situation she is in all the time.
- The party in general have his full support. He tries to be as cordial and helpful as possible and is curious both about them and for them.
- He has tried to offer funding to the Copper Fangs but they are reluctant to accept help from someone so upper-class.
- Kilvarax is someone he seems to be stuck working with now that the gold dragonborn is employed by the Central Institute. The MONAM has a close archival and funding relationship with the Central Institute so they seem to end up seeing more of each other than either would like.

His reputation for being a playboy who is confident and even suave has not preceded him. As he tells it to the party: "That's just a face for the rich people. They're unbearable otherwise."
