Session 23: 2024 Rules Report

General Summary

The party begin by resting in their mansion demi-plane after their encounter with Hazirawn. They immediately head out the next day to retrieve their reward from the Guild Hall for their harvested parts from the strange dragon-like creature they encountered a few days previously. (They are awards 255gp for the parts)   The Guild Master presents them with their reward, and also mentions that the Mayor of Duin would like to speak with them. This is in regards to them discovering the ruins within the mine. However, the Guild Master raises a question of whether they should want to meet with the Mayor, given their supposed history. He hints at the fact that they were somehow involved in the instance where the Mayor's wife was killed, immediately prior to their departure from Duin 4 years prior. While he did not have all the facts, he does know that a silver dragonborn who was working with the party took the blame for the death of the Mayors wife. He offers to delay the meeting with the Mayor for as long as possible, should they not want to meet with the Mayor. But if they want to avoid meeting with him, they would likely need to leave town in order to prevent the meeting from eventually happening.   After some discussion, and questionable comments in front of the Guild Master (Icarus mostly) the party think their best course is to in fact meet with the Mayor. Believing that they may be able to get some answers about what happened 4 years ago. The Guild Master agrees to set the meeting up, at the parties request, for the next day. In the mean time, the party go around town purchasing equipment and supplies, before Zolv and Ophellia head to the college to meet with Enora Kettlespout and see if she might have some details about the death of the Mayors wife. (She didn't)
Enora agrees to sell her bag of holding to the group (it actually belongs to the college) as a favour. She hopes the money the party gave her will be enough to cover the cost of the bag, lest she get yelled at for losing valuable college supplies.
