39: Crow's Hollow - Part 7 - When the Party Realise that Eldritch Lied

General Summary

The party take Sarah into the mansion, after talking to the captives they rescued they interrogate her. Using Suggestion to compel her to answer their questions truthfully, she gives them some useful information about the cult. Confirming the Mayor is the head of the cult (AKA, High Reaper), that her uncle is one of the most dangerous members of the Reapers of Abundance, known by the title "The Reaper", and warns them that now that they have captured her, he will be coming for them. She also reveals that the tavern they have been frequenting is controlled and run by the cult as well.
  The party sneak to the Chapel where they use a door in there to access the mansion. After a lot of roleplay, they head to the Crane Farm to meet with Ezra's brother Ezekiel. They manage to earn his trust enough that he tells them that they need to find a man called "Old Man Jenkin's". He however, does not know where he is or if he is still alive, but suggests talking to Winifred, a local hedgewitch to divine his location. So they go to Winifred and ask the question. After some back and forth, she tells them where to find him, beyond the river by the old mill. He lives in the forest over there. However, it also becomes realised by the group, that they don't actually know if they are stuck here in the village like Jasper, as they forgot to even test if they could or not.
 

• We ended the session as the players (other than Eldritch who knew) realing from the realisation that they could have left whenever they wanted.
