42: Crow's Hollow - Part 10 - The One Where Ophelia Dies

General Summary

The party continue their search, and eventually find an old cabin in the woods. After getting no response from knocking, Zolv smashes the door down and enters the house. As he explores, he is rewarded with a stick to the face from a crazy old man. The crazy old man is Old Man Jenkins.   The party are able to calm him down, despite their breaking into his home, and he tells them what they need to know and what they need to gather in order to accomplish the Ritual of Severance to cut off The Rows' connection to this place. Seeking a source of pure water, the party follow the poluted river, hoping to cleanse it and use water from its source in their ritual. As they make their way up the river, they encounter 3 large, hideous beasts. Each one reeks of death and decay. (Catoblpas)   During the encounter, the party take a number of hits from their Death Rays. Zolv survives two of them, but ophellia was not so lucky. She was killed by the death ray. At the end of the fight, Icarus furiously attunes to the Ring of Spell Storing, and uses the spell within to resurrect Ophellia.

• We end the session as Ophellia returns to life after meeting her patron, Runethares, on the other side. Just as he body takes its new form, that of a Halfling.
