28: Leaving Duin

General Summary

Carrying over from last session, the party are going to ask the Game Master their three questions:

The Parties Questions
  • Past: While the rest of the party are distracted by looking at the scenery outside the window, Darnalore asks, “I lost my home when I was young. For the last ten years I’ve been guided to make peace with its destruction with not an ounce of explanation as to what happened to it or where my family is. After the past few weeks, months, maybe years, I think the only way I can make peace with its ruin is by understanding so I can try and amend it. So please. What happened to my grove all of those years ago to have destroyed the place I once called home.”
  • Present: Who are the three individuals, and what are their motivations for what they are doing?
  • Future: How do the Heretic and Hazirawn, plan on achieving their goals?
  After returning from the Game Masters domain, the party rest up for the night and then depart Duin the next day.   As they travel they encounter a group of Sunbathing Manticores, which the party decide to attack. In the process burning down a fair bit of the forest (Zolv's Fireball).   The encounter a merchant, Marcel, who they help repair his wagons. He warns the party that he got a weird feeling from the town and never entered it. We end the session after the party roll into the village.
