Session #11 Report

General Summary

After their three-day side adventure out in the countryside and beyond, the party finds them back within the city as they make final preparations for dealing with the Elemental Crisis of Silverhold. With another rainstorm rolling in from the Imperial Sea, the party takes the day to make such preparations: Handing over the Ghost Mushrooms for their reward, purchasing rations, gathering Arata, and bunkering down with the Guardian Priests for the night before heading out in the morning.   At the Temple, they had a chance to dry off and take in the beauty of the Guardian Temple that has stood as a landmark within the city for 371 years. They could see the fading Ren influences, as the Temple became more and more localized with each renovation; or how the motifs of Bird, Tiger, and Tortoise were threatened to be drowned out by the Dragons, as the Five Guardians from the Mainland became Four. The halls also appeared far emptier than one would expect from such a grand building; As not only had the Priesthood shrank by one, but the Acolytes that attended them dwindled into the single digits from three at its height.   After a night and a bland meal in the morning, the party embarked on their journey upriver towards the Mines. As twice before when they traveled this river, the Hanzaki struck-- once more at full power, proving more ferocious than before. But the party had grown in power since their last meeting as well, allowing them to grievously wound the creature to force it to flee once again; allowing the party to travel the remaining half of their journey in peace where they could assess their wounds before reporting to the Warden of Silverhold...
