The Rising Koi Saga: Chapter 15 Report

General Summary

As the Temple of Guardians burned, the Rising Koi charged in to find Acolyte survivors. And despite smoke, flame, and debris, they were successful in saving a total of six people from the disaster– as well as finding a potential clue in form of clay shards that appeared to belong to a container of some sort of drinking bottle. Something they were sure to ask about when they met with Lieutenant Kondo Musa in the morning after.   Here they were thanked for their near fortnight of work in ending the Elemental Crisis, Slaying the Hanzaki that harassed their boats, and rescuing who they could from the inferno from the night previous. After reading the letter that was enclosed with the paperwork that would ensure that the Rising Koi would be officially recognized as a legal Adventuring Party by their local city, he informed them that he would ensure such was filed and requested they return the next day so he could inform them where their meeting with Captain Katsuro would be scheduled.   And so the party was granted a chance at a much-appreciated breather. Daiono took the time to enjoy the Hotsprings, Xiyan enjoyed a bottle of wine and a nap in the sun. Bimbledorf tried to investigate his single physical clue, finding himself delivering the news to a former member of the Temple– Kujaku, who took the opportunity to offer room and employment to the devastated survivors. Yengandor took his chance at a break to instead trek back upriver in a personal quest to inform the Guardian Priests they left in Silverhold about the tragedy that had occurred. On the way, he had a few hours of privacy with Akinari where he told her of Bimbledorf’s infatuation with her. He learned of her relation to Kujaku, only to inform her that her brother was peddling drugs from the shop he had built himself. In his continued quest of being the bearer of bad news, he informed the Guardian Priests. Rinkei seemed particularly devastated from this information, Kenro abandoning his investigations into the matters assigned to him in an attempt to avenge the fallen.   Reconvened, the party was informed that they would be granted an audience to the war hero and Captain of the Silverguard Katsuro Ken for dinner in 10 days. Not only that, it seems their flurry of heroics had caught the attention of the ancient Magistrate himself, who requested that they join him for the dinner at his personal manor: The Pale House.
