Session XXIII: Windsong Report

General Summary

Having explored almost the entirety of the mansion the Peds party has arrived at the final few rooms. The double-doors that held Fletcher "Fetch" Highlinton within were still bound by divine protection preventing them from entering. The long hallway that K.K. viewed and mentioned was a thing of nightmares held an unlocked door on the other side.
  The room in question held an individual within who was not alone and equipped with a firearm. The party reconveined for a quick plan on how to go about things. The plan was simple: Have K.K. open the door and draw attention, and then cast Dispel Magic on the arcane lock and break in.
  Grabbing the small demon Bailiwick threw K.K. into the room hitting the door square on. Opening the door the demon drew the attention to it and paid with its life.
  Hearing the shot Freya cast the spell and Kethra moved in with her echo. It was a hard and long-fought battle that eventually resulted in their victory, yet it came at a price. Kethra fell deeper into the clutches of her Blade of Darken Vengeance, unbeknownst to the others.
  The party, injured and very low on spells, the party made the decision to take another short rest. A costly decision as something occured - a roar shook the mansion causing it to start to crumble. Arkeshia quickly retrieved the jars of Festerwood caps she hid away and everyone spotted the sanctuary where Fletcher was being held. Within was a large teleportation circle, yet none wished to venture in.
  Leaving the mansion the party noticed that Shadycreek Run was aflame. Too far to rush to aid the party mounted up and went back to town.
  Most of North Clover and part of the Wickerskid were burned and in ruins with corpses littered everywhere. Heading to Vuulental Mansion the party found most the traps in tact, the gates open, the animals gone, the guards gone, Rosalyn Highlinton gone. Yet the small Honor Liel remained, hidden in the basement.
