Session 8: The Prodigal Kid Returns Report

General Summary

Opening Scene:

  • The Werewolf Kid showed up at their Haven and collapsed in the Butler’s Arms while asking for help.
  • Quinton patched up the kid’s wounds and cleaned him up, setting aside samples of the Black Goop for further investigation.
  • Jax and Saoirse cleared off the trail of dripping goop that the kid left behind that led straight to their Haven, and then tracked it back to an open manhole which was its origins. (The manhole cover had been thrown roughly 20 feet away.)
  • Tala learned that mentioning Dr. Crucio around Quinton or the Butler triggers them to freak out and run off in a terror episode.
 

Questioning The Kid Scene:

  • They decided to use smelling salts to wake the kid up and interrogate him.\
  • Quinton used Dementation since the kid’s trauma was making it difficult to get any good information from him.
  • Explained that he was with Silver Wrath for 5 Months, then got away and hid with the Homeless in the underground. He then saw the Nosferatu who was there during his torture, and he got angry and chased her.
  • She led him into the tunnel going into the Labyrinth, but then everything went black and all he can remember is the pain and nightmares from the Ritual. Felt like his blood was on fire.
  • Tala used insight to determine that the kid has immense hatred for Primogen Simms and Dr. Crucio, which is why he is confused why Quinton and Jax are helping him. The Kid could sense that they share the same Vitae as their Sires.
  • They learned that Crucio and Simms have several other werewolf kinfolks at the lab being worked on.
  • The Coterie called in the “A-Team” which is when all of their ghouls come together as a team and had them babysit the Werewolf Kid at the Haven while the Coterie went to talk to Yasmin.
  • Saoirse used Draught of Might on Philly.
  • Quinton called the Captain for Yasmin’s Location, which he sent to Quinton via the Cobweb, and then departed.
     

Visiting Yasmin:

  • Yasmin’s Haven was an old 3-story Victorian style house located in the Residential District on the East side of the city near the edge of the woods.
  • Her Retainer answered the door, a young man roughly 19 years old, short blond hair, clean shaven, wearing a dress shirt and tie. He led them to her study to meet with her.
  • Quinton gave Yasmin a Minor Boon as appreciation for her saving him and suppressing Momo while on the 2nd Inquisition Cargo Ship.
  • Learned From Yasmin:
  • The kid as been corrupted by the BSD, and has had a Bane Spirit bound to his soul. The spirit and his soul are intertwined and cannot be removed without killing the kid.
  • The Spirits are based on emotion, and are naturally attracted to mortals with immense emotions. Once bound to a mortal, they feed off this emotion and will drive the mortal to do anything they can to achieve their deepest desire that is linked to the emotion.
  • The BSD pull the spirits from the Spirit Realm, and bind them to the mortals they are feeding from. This converts them into a servant of the BSD/The Wyrm. This is why she refers the Coterie to go speak with the Hecata.
 

Returned to Haven:

  • Spent a lot of time discussing their options and what they wanted to do.
  • Quinton began having waves of emotion sent by Momo about what would happen if they released the Kid.
  • She is concerned that the kid will kill Arachne and Dr. Crucio.
  • Quinton then forced a Premonition which is described below.
 

Quinton’s Premonition:

You find yourself in your room in the Haven with the Kid who is still restrained and unconscious. Floating above the Kid is a wispy shadowy figure, with tendrils that reach down and wrap around the Kid’s body.   You see yourself and your Coterie mates meeting with Primogen Simms and Dr. Crucio, where you are handing the unconscious kid over to them. The Scene shifts suddenly to a familiar room within Dr. Crucio’s lab, one which Quinton once spent much time in. In the center of the room, you see the Kid strapped to a chair, but his face seems to shift from one face to another. Standing above him is Dr. Crucio with a large syringe and a scalpel.   The scene shifts again. Still in the same room, but now the Kid is standing. His body is totally mutated, not the way a Werewolf mutates. His body is twice as large as it once was, his muscle bulging in abnormal shapes appearing bulbous and lumpy. His skin has turn to a charred black. His eyes are solid grey. The Shadowy figure that once floated above him seems to have pulled itself down and into the Kid’s body. The Kid stands over several piles of Ashes. The Room itself is wrecked, and Vitae seems to be splattered around the room. There are also a few corpses of what you would recognize as Dr. Crucio’s Security Ghouls laying around the room. The Scene shifts again to the Coterie, and you surrounded by Werewolves in the woods. Before you stand Ryk and another important looking individual. You see a couple of Werewolves leading the Kid off out of sight, into the woods. Shortly after this, the Werewolves turn and disappear as well, clearly furious. The Scene shifts again. You see the Coterie and you standing on top a roof towards the center of the city, all your hands bound in chains. The Chains lead out across the city and connect to the Resolute Tower. As your attention turns to the massive foreboding tower, you begin to realize that the tower is crumbling. As you look around at the rest of the city, you see that building all throughout the city are also crumbling.   You then wake up.
