Session 2 Report

General Summary

After weeks of preparation, the party was able to run security for the launch of the R.N.S. Coaltongue, Risur's newest warship. After weeding out detractors from the crowd, they were invited aboard for the launch party itself. At the event, the party stumbled across an attempt to sabotage the ship. Had the attempt been successful, it would have cost the lives of the party, the king, and a good portion of Flint's nobility.   In the end, the saboteurs were not expecting the party, and it resulted in their untimely end. Further investigation of the ship revealed that Duchess Ethelyn, the king's sister and apparent heir who had taken a room onboard claiming she was ill, was no longer aboard, and the viewport in her room was open. Her assistant was one of the saboteurs and lay deceased below-decks. The party returned above decks in time to hear te king's speech declaring his intention to find a way to bring about a long-lasting peace between Danor and Risur.   For a week after the event, Flint, and all of Risur, has been holding its breath awaiting news of the Duchess and her supporters and worried about what violence may lie in Risur's future...
