Session 21: Diplomacy Report

General Summary

The party set out from Westmarch along the southern trail.   They came across an Ettin arguing amongst itself over a wounded Stegosaurus.   The party attacked, blasting the creature with a salvo of magic and bolts.   Wushuu took a hit but was able to shake it off and blast the giant with his Flaming Sphere reducing one head to a cauterized stump, felling the foul creature.   Kairi and Wushuu worked together to save the aged Stegosaurus who decided to follow them until it could find it's herd.   Returning to Westmarch with the aid of some of Westmarches Rangers, Yulgor claimed the bounty on the Ettin's head and Wushuu tried unsuccessfully to convince Charlotte to buy Steggy.   The group set out the following morning for fort grown, following the river. They attracted the attention of some local predators but the intimidating stegosaurus was able to keep them at bay.   Crossing the river proved to be no challenge with Tinkerers disk and the group's new large friend, the dense forest proved a challenge for the large dinosaur and progress was slowed.   During the night a large constrictor happened upon the camp and tried to make off with Naivara but a concentrated defense from the pathfinders made short work of the beast.   On the morning of the sixth day The Zemerian Fort came into sight and the party were greeted by their ally Beoric Pyros and patron Harbek Oreseeker. With them were a scouting group of Aelves from the Veridian Conclave led by Elthar Cinderwood.   The negotiations were tough with both Kairi and Wushuu mediating the two groups, both of whose goals seemed virtuous. Eventaully Beoric Pyros & Elthar Cinderwood reached a tenuous accord and agreed that Aramil Liadin and Liaryn Hawksight would accompany them and seek audience with Baroness Milena Ashfield.   On the journey home the sky above the pathfinders darkened and a Griffon descended on the group.
