Session 2: Skeletons Reign Report

General Summary

The heros left the house of Kline Ginger Hall and head to the house of John Terrance. There meet Rebecca Terrance , John's mother. From her they learn that John has some shady friends that vist everyonce in a while, this has been happening for about a year. After talking on her door step they get let in to search John's room.

In John's room they find it sparsly furnished and very dark. They begin to search the room looking for evidence of what he has been up to. Inside the right drawer of his desk they find a false bottem. Beneath the bottem they find a metalic cube and a bloody dagger with the symbol of a dagger on it. They then continue to search the room and find removeable boards under the bed. They also inspect the room's window and assess that it could be used as an escape route. Then they remove the boards under the bed and find black cloths, slightly bloody, and another bloody dagger that matches the first. They decern from this that John is part of what has been happening around Klipten. Before they leave they ask Rebecca what John's regular scedual is and learn he goes to the pig's ale after work, they also tell Rebecca that her son is not part of what has been goin on around Klipten so as not to alert John. Important note is that the Heros have connected the Cult to the Guild of Rath.

The Heros then wait at the Pig's ale for John. They do some light planning while the wait. After John leaves the Heros go to follow him but fail quite badly and have to throw off susspision. After doing so they then go and stake out John's house for the night. The Heros see nothing during the night.

Then around one in the morning they hear shouts and clang of metal. The heros then rush to the battle to help aid the town. At the town square is where they run into a hooded figure and his small force of skelatons. The skelatons charge. The skelaton horses deal massive damage to the Heros and nearly nock many of them out. The hooded figure cast his spells as the Heros continued to fight his minions. Eventually after some heros nearly and getting knocked out they deafeat the Skelatons and knock the hooded firgure unconsciouse. They tie up and dreg the hooded figure over near the farmer's market and search him. They find that the figure is John and on him he has a magical cube, cuts on his elbows, and a bloody necklace with the symbol on the daggers they found earlier. They break the clasps of the necklace as they pull it off and John disapears into black smoke after a short period of time leaving his clothes. The heros then retire for the night at the Pig's ale. Over the night some of the heros learn what the cube and necklace are.

In the morning the Heros head to Rebecca's house to tell her what happened. They find her weaping on the floor of her son's room and there they tell her about what transpired last night.

Previosly the heros had made a deal with the mayor of Klipten about getting paid for killing skelatons. They get paid and convince him to pay them more for what they did but they notice he is nervouse. They then cofront him and learn many things. First that he had been taking bribes from a cult to turn a blind eye to what had been happening in klipten and that the next bribe was happening the next night. Second that it was him who was poisoning Kline. They also learn that he was taking the bribes for a long time. During this confrentation they also steal a bag full of money.

After meeting with the mayor they decide to save kline. They head to his house and find him in the same position as last time. They then procced to bring him back to their room at the Pig's ale for his protection. After leaving him there they go and stake out the mayor's house for the night's spying on the bribe.

The players gain a lot of money, the cube of the dead, and a cult necklace.
