Missions/Quests Completed
☑ Main Quest: Preparations
- Congratulations. The party has known one another for over a week now!
- Had breakfast together
- Cassian wrote a to-do list and shared it with everybody
- Inigo shaved his face and refused to acknowledge any mention of a beard.
- Sorin shared his worries regarding Alín - there’s something magical about them and Sorin
thinks they might not be trustworthy.
- Decided to go visit Serafina.
- Inigo went with the party, wearing a cloak to disguise himself.
- Meraad stayed behind so it wouldn’t be too suspicious.
- Serafina updated everybody:
- The Princes were displeased with the death of the Costa family.
- They accepted the Black Shadow explanation.
- They want to speak with Inigo ASAP. He needs to take over his father’s duties.
- Serafina was happy that the party retrieved the seal.
- She will set up a meeting with Lord Galli for Cassian to apologize and return it
- Her advice is to ‘kiss his ass’ when it happens.
- Asked Serafina about Faro.
- She is unable to get the party access to it.
- It’s exclusive and memberships are passed down through families.
- Inigo’s brother used to have a friend who was a member (because his brother was
friends with nerds was Inigo’s reasoning)
- She suggested blackmailing Corelli, who is probably a member.
- Sorin expressed his distrust of Alín again.
- Serafina suggested using them as a resource anyway. You’re all on the same side.
- Serafina arranged for horses for everybody to get to Malek’s Estate.
- Informed Alín of the plan, and they agreed to meet the party at the Bungalow the next night.
- Had a free day to make any preparations the party might need.
- Jarryn went to visit Osrick
- Zayd went off on his own to do an errand
☑ Main Quest: Malek Atan
- Alín met the party at the Bungalow later that night
- Set out and found horses in The Wing. Unfortunately there were only 5.
- Inigo and Zayd shared
- Cassian and Sorin shared
- During the ride out, Zayd whispered dirty thing to Inigo. He passed a seduction test and Inigo got flustered (and hard).
- Meraad heard everything. Thanks, she hates it.
- Stopped a little ways from the Estate and left Inigo and Meraad to watch the horses.
- Scoped out the Estate and found a rotation of guards outside.
- Knocked one guard out and stole his whistle.
- The party snuck by the servant’s quarters
- Decided to enter the house through the garden, but the door was locked and unpickable
- The party were discovered by a servant - an elven girl who called herself Chiara
- She informed the party that they needed a key to get inside
- Only two of the guards had keys
- Planned on sneaking by the stables.
- Sent Chiara inside as a distraction
- Soon heard yelling and an argument
- There were two guards unexpectedly in the stables. Fought them and knocked them out. Tied them up.
- Found a hidden trapdoor in one of the stables.
- Zayd found it
- Jarryn busted it open with his axe
- Followed a tunnel down to a secret workshop.
- There was a holding cell in one corner
- A large magic rune painted on the floor
- A lot of books and a worktable
- Zayd ambushed a young man named Jacob working at the table
- He refused to answer questions at first
- Then claimed he didn’t know what the circle was for
- The party left him locked in the holding cell
- Zayd peeked through a trapdoor, which opened into Malek’s office
- Malek was inside and saw him right away
- It was pretty awkward for everybody
- The party all emerged and threatened Malek. Demanded to know why he’d murdered the Costas
- He denied it at first
- Then admitted to it, though his reasoning was…that there was no meaning behind it.
- “They needed something to do.”
- He eventually attacked. He summoned a Shade to help him fight.
- Jarryn beat the shit out of a lot of things, including a Shade
- Sorin sensed the strange magic coming from Alín again
- Alín was able to injure the Shade on their own
- Part way through the fight, Malek's sister Talia burst into the room
- She demanded to know why you were attacking her brother.
- She was in disbelief that he was evil.
- Defeated Malek and left him injured.
- Zayd stepped on him to try to get him to talk.
- He was defiant
- Insisted that he did what he had to do.
- Mentioned ‘keys’, and was surprised that that wasn’t the reason you were there.
- Alín shoved a book page in his face and demanded to have the full thing
- Malek was surprised. “So, you have it then.”
- Before the party could get any answers, a knife lodged itself in Malek's throat
- Chiara, who the party had forgotten, was perched at the window
- She waved and hopped out the window, disappearing into the night
- Searched Malek’s desk and found two notes
- Found him wearing the same silver ring as Tessa
- Alín was desperately trying to find the book
- Summoned a small wisp that helped them search
- Found the book and shoved it in their bag
- Talia was no help
- She didn’t know anything about whatever evil life her brother was leading
- She didn’t know why Chiara would kill him (she was a servant for about a month)
- Decided to get the fuck out
- Talia was left a way to contact you
- Booked it back to the horses
